LISTENING IN THE NEW YEAR

I believe the Lord is showing that we are entering a year when He will begin to reveal His mysteries to those who are prepared
to know them - He will take us much deeper into Him in order to do this.
Is.33:14 (CJB) asks:
Is.33:17 gives a wonderful promise in this time -
"Your eyes will see the King in His beauty."
For some time now I have been waking to pray at 4.00 a.m. This morning it was 4.40 a.m. which seemed to emphasise the 4
and I asked the Lord what this was about. I have listed the relevance of these numbers at the bottom of this page.
Over this time I have had a number of dreams in which I have been involved in the wedding preparations (seems obvious I
know) and this was what the Lord was telling me.
"IT IS ALL ABOUT THE BRIDE"
He reminded me of a dream I had recently about a funeral and I could hear Him saying
How do I prepare, you ask? WITH ME. In the midst of the wedding preparations the bride and groom's longing for each
other increases, so should it be with you and I.
DO NOT LET THE WORK KILL THE DESIRE, BUT RATHER LET THE DESIRE FUEL THE WORK. Build
and prepare first in the 'secret place' in order that men will see your good works and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.
HERE IS THE CRY, WHO WILL COME?
FOUR Earth, creation, world.
May you know all of the Lord's blessing in this new year,

Fear Not For I Am Still God!

Be not afraid! Have I not spoken this before? Am I still not the same God
that I was yesterday and will be tomorrow? Is my arm to short or has my
sight grown dim? I AM the same YESTERDAY, TODAY and FOREVER! I DO NOT
CHANGE! I Am in control of all that you see going on. FEAR NOT! Those
things that you see taking place must happen in order for the things to be
fulfilled that will bring about the new heavens and the new earth. Do not
think that all is not well but pray for the time to be shortened that the
elect would not falter or fall.
My people have much to learn and the time is very short. Do not rely on your
old ways of doing things for those ways are not going to work today. Just
like the manna had to be picked up fresh every day so My ways must be fresh.
I do not change but I do expect change in My people, My Bride. I will show
you new ways, better ways that you have not yet seen or heard of. I will
show you things that you can not even dream of at this time. Do not be
afraid of change or of what is to come.
Think about what is NOW, not tomorrow for tomorrow is not here yet. For this
is the day of your salvation. This is the day that in which you must be
willing to change and to go out in love to My lost sheep. My Love for you is
to be your strength and it will carry you to your destiny. Do not think that
someone else will go and share the words and thoughts and giftings that I
have given you to share.
You are a special piece of workmanship from My hand and there is no other
like you. Do not think less of yourself than you ought nor should you think
more highly of yourself and walk in pride but rather know who you are in Me
and go forth boldly to fulfill your destiny! This is not a time of false
modesty nor a time to be intimidated by those you deem more knowledgeable or
more gifted than yourself. You are the one that I am calling to Go and Do
all that I tell you to do and to say - without fear or hesitation.
Do you not know that I have called you and if I have called you then I will
supply all that you need to carry out the assignment I give you! My people
have been drinking the milk for too long now. It is time to eat the solid
food and give the milk to the babies. It is time for the Bride to become
ready. It is time for her to grow up!
There are many things that I must teach you quickly, so learn to hear and
obey My voice and to move quickly when I tell you to move. You must be like
Gideon's Army, always on the alert and always ready. Things are going to
accelerate at a rate that you can not even imagine now but in the next year
or so you will be amazed at the changes in your own situations and those in
the world. Do not believe the lies of the enemy nor listen to them. By
listening you are already falling into a trap and will start to believe them.
Remember that I Am in control and ALL things are being prepared. Do not
lean on your own understanding. Believe that I Am who I say I Am and can and
will do what I have said I would do! Do not doubt or fear! Believe and Trust
in Me for I will not fail you.

The Time is Now. Listen!

There is a time to listen and that time is now for My children. Now,
listen. My children are being made ready and prepared. Their ears
are turned toward Me with commitment. Commit yourselves to hearing and
seeking Me in this season. I am calling and promoting and moving Mine
into position.
Know where I am sending/placing you through hearing My word. How shall
you precede, but by the confidence you have of My voice inside of you.
Be assured that I speak to you and I the Lord Thy God has placed that
desire inside of you to hear My voice. Your heart longs for My voice to
make contact with you ears. You long for direction, for wisdom, for
instuctions and how you long to hear Me say I Love You. You want to know
if you are in the right place doing My will. You must hear My voice with
confidence, commitment and great clarity to know this. You must be
commited to hearing.
Time must be spent in My presence to attain the level of hearing you
desire. Know My desire to speak to you and to be heard. I desire for
you to have such confidence that you know that it is the I AM speaking
to you. Our relationship is based on soundness when you speak and I hear
and I speak and you hear. Our relationship is also based on love and how
would it be if one lover was silent and the other lover did all the speaking.
The relationship would be unbalanced, but our relationship must be balanced.
I long My beloved for you to hear My heart of love for you. My love will
build you up and keep you from falling in times of trouble.

Time of Refining

Apostle Bret Wade (timesandseasons@bretwade.com) my good friend and fellow
laborer in the Kingdom of God, sent out a powerful and right on time word to
the body of Christ. And the more I thought about that word, the more I
heard the Spirit of God saying through it that there will be much required
of the church in order for it to arise to its place of destiny and
fulfillment.
In Isaiah 66:10-12, cited above, notice the hardships and times of testing
that the redeemed acknowledged that God took them through! Again, notice
that it was not the devil, not the world, not the flesh, but it was God that
led His people into times of hardship. When we read of such things we
immediately ask, "why would God do that." It is a good question. Isaiah
66:10-12 suggests that in the end, God's ultimate destination, on the other
side of the difficult and trying times, was the place I call "the wealthy
place." The wealthy place is the place of expansion, increase; it is a
privileged place reserved for a special people. What people are these? The
Apostle Peter tells us about such people.
Such people are those kept by the power of God through faith for salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time. People that greatly rejoice, though
now for a little while, if need be, they have been grieved by various
trials, that the genuineness of their faith, being much more precious than
gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise,
honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:5-7).
You see, such people understand that prior to reaching "the wealthy place,"
there is a time when God tries us, as silver is tried. and brings us into
the net; He may lay affliction upon our loins and cause men to ride over our
heads; and even require that we go through fire and through water (Is
66:12).
Some will read this and say, "nonsense." Every scripture herein cited thus
far is from the Old Testament. The New Testament speaks of no such times of
hardship for the church!" To which I say, "nonsense."
The scripture says that after the Apostle Paul was stoned and left for dead
(Acts 14:19), both he and the Apostle Barnabus went to "Lystra, Iconium, and
Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to
continue in the faith, and saying, 'We must through many tribulations enter
the kingdom of God'" (Acts 14:21-22). Just in case you missed the last part
of that scripture, it says, "We must through many tribulations enter the
kingdom of God."
However, the emphasis is not on "the tribulation." The emphasis is on going
"through" tribulation. You see, no matter what comes upon us, if we endure
and hold fast the confession of our faith, we shall indeed go "through," all
the way through, we shall come out on the other side of the tribulation into
the "wealthy place," bless God!
And beloved, let us not forget an important theme of the entire book of
Revelation. Is not certain that times of extraordinary distress shall
befall the earth according to the great and fearsome prophetic declarations
made by the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos? Yet, an important aspect to
all that end time stuff (I say that reverently) is that we are not to forget
that all the upheaval that hell can generate (Rev 12:12) does not shake the
confidence of the church because it knows that no matter what is taking
place, Christ Jesus Himself hold the seven stars [church leadership] in His
right hand, and He walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands [the
church]" (Revelation 1:20 - 2:1).
And in the end, after all of the cataclysmic events of the book of
Revelation unfold, we remain fully persuaded that we shall see, "a pure
river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God
and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the
river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding
its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the
nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the
Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His
face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night
there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them
light. And they shall reign forever and ever" (Revelation 22:1-5). Now,
that is what I call, "THE WEALTHY PLACE." Amen.

A Year of Natural Disasters

MT 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them
into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. [25] The
rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that
house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. [26]
But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into
practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. [27] The rain
came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house,
and it fell with a great crash."
"This year, the year 2001, is a year that you will see many things happen to
you in the world around you. There will be more signs in the earth and in
the heavens above. Earthquakes will be seen in various places around the
earth. The sun's heat will fluctuate and will rise and fall. The signs
in the heavens will be evident to all. Natural disasters will abound in
many places. Storms in the form of tornadoes will hit the mid section of
the United States as never before. You will see a rise of floods as well."
(The Lord showed me a man who was on a ladder. He had a screwdriver in his
hand and was working on the ceiling of this house in several places--at each
each corner he was using this screwdriver. Then he went up another level
and was working on the ceiling there. This continued until he had done this
work on each ceiling, through perhaps 5 levels of the building. Then there
was an opening at the last level, through a stove pipe one could see the
stars and the sky above.)
He then said:
"Fortify, fortify your buildings and get them ready. When all else is
crumbling around you, fortify your building. Your habitation is in Me and
in Me alone. When the storms blow, and they will this year in great force,
then let Me be that great tower for you. In my tower all else may blow
around you, but you will find safety there. Look to Me when the sun and
moon will change."
(This time the Lord showed me a scene of objects being dropped to the earth
below. I saw several parachutes fall to the earth, but also bombs that were
being dropped. They hit the earth, and also some areas of water.)
He then said:
"Another war will break out and it will involve the United States. I have
said that there will be wars and the rumors of wars. You have always had
wars but they will increase until the end of time. Peaceful treaties will
not keep this from happening."
"So, mark this year as a year of these things. Remember that I AM a shelter
from the storm."

Christ crucified, the blood of the Lamb, the resurection and the Life
Obedience, greater than sacrifice
All I have needed thy hand hath provided
The more I live and learn it seems that I only find I don't know as much as
I had thought. I do know that the L-rd keeps track of my life and provides
the humility that I need to carry out His tasks, representing Him in the way
He would have represented Himself. Although I fall short of this, I realize
that He laid down everything, including seeking glory or personal honor with
men, to save my wretched soul.
Lift up one another, love unconditionally, but with the reverent fear of the
L-rd.

A NEWER BEGINNING

As we approach the New Year, we are also coming to the actual beginning of
a new century, and new millennium. As this kind of change only comes
every one thousand years, if there was ever a time to think of new
beginnings, this seems like a good one.
I have been asked a few times lately what I think of New Year's
resolutions. Since this seems to be on so many people's minds, let me
address this first before going on to my main point. Ideally, I think that
every day should be new for the Christian, and that we should not need
such occasions to vow to make needed changes. I also know that "ideals"
work only for a tiny percentage of people, and the rest of us usually need
whatever help we can get from such things. I also believe that the Lord,
in His abundant grace, allows, and may even appreciate, our attempts to do
what is right using whatever crutches we need, as long as out of them we
do not build laws, or principles of worship.
Even so, the highest, and ultimate purpose of every Christian should be to
live by the power of the Holy Spirit, not human crutches. The cross is the
power of God (I Corinthians 1:18). The power to meet every human need or
solve any human problem is found at the cross.Why should we seek power any
other place?
This New Year's Eve, at precisely the changing of the century, it will be
exactly one hundred years since the event that many mark as the true
beginning of the modern Pentecostal Renewal-the outpouring of the Holy
Spirit in Topeka, Kansas. Now hundreds of millions have experienced the
baptism of the Holy Spirit. The movement that this event sparked has been
the fastest growing spiritual movement in history, and instead of
diminishing, it is accelerating as we approach this new millennium.
However, I believe that this New Year will mark the beginning of something
that will advance the gospel even further, at least giving it more
substance, depth and power-that is the filling of the Holy Spirit.
Of course, we are filled with the Holy Spirit when we receive the baptism
of the Spirit, but, while trying not to get entangled in semantic terms,
to be baptized in something is to be immersed in it. The baptism in the
Holy Spirit is such a powerful, life changing experience that there has
been a tendency to think that this is all that we need.However, in the
book of Acts, long after the Day of Pentecost and the outpouring of the
Holy Spirit, we have examples of the apostles doing extraordinary works
when they were "filled with the Holy Spirit" anew (see Acts 4:8,31,13:9,
52).
There is no question that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is an empowering
that can radically change our lives, and result in much more fruitfulness
for the gospel. D.L. Moody claimed to have had but a few conversions
through his ministry until he received the baptism in the Holy Spirit,
which at that time many referred to as "a second grace." This was also
clear in the book of Acts. The apostles were filled with the Spirit on the
Day of Pentecost, but even after this profound and powerful change in
their life, they still had other experiences of being "filled with the
Spirit." What's my point?
I once heard a famous Pentecostal minister say that if Pentecostals and
Charismatics were indeed Spirit-filled people, "we have somehow sprung a
leak!" Is this why we see that repeated "fillings" were needed in the book
of Acts? Perhaps. uppose that we really did esteem the Holy Spirit as the
most valuable treasure that we could ever possess on this earth. If we
had a great deal of money to carry, but kept losing significant amounts of
it, we would make every effort to find out where the hole is and close it.
How much more should we be concerned about who we are when we are not
staying filled with the Holy Spirit? What are the things that cause us to
drift from the manifest presence of the Lord in our lives? Are their holes
in our lives that could even be so large as to call them "gates of hell,"
enabling the forces of hell to rob us almost completely of our inheritance
in Christ?
Of course, the primary things that are going to offend the Holy Spirit are
the things that are unholy. When we think of unholy we usually think of
sexual lusts and perversions first. Undoubtedly these are offensive to
God, and the Scriptures are clear that the wrath of God will come because
of them. However, in Ephesians 4:30 we are exhorted, "And do not grieve
the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption," and then we are told specifically how not to grieve Him in
the next two verses-"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and
slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as
God in Christ also has forgiven you." God is love, and anything that is
not done in love does grieve Him. Sexual sin is a sin because lust is the
counter-power to love. Sex was created for love, not love for sex.
However, all of the counter-powers to love, such as bitterness, wrath,
anger, slander, malice, grieve and offend the Holy Spirit. If there is a
resolution that we make for this coming new year, let it be to be filled
with the Holy Spirit, to walk in the Spirit, and do nothing that would
cause the Spirit to depart from our life. My prayer for you is that the
prayer of the apostle Paul would be fulfilled in your life:
..that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be
strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that
Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted
and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what
is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of
Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the
fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond
all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
(Ephesians 3:16-20).
Before the end there will be a people who walk and abide in the Spirit.
Because they walk in love they will be entrusted with unprecedented power.
In this way the kingdom of God will be demonstrated as the counter-power
to all of the evil that perverts and destroys on earth. Ultimately this
power will prevail so that even the lion will lie down next to the lamb,
and no one will hurt anyone again. Why not now resolve that we are going
to be a part of preparing the way for this great kingdom. It is at hand.

I heard Him say "HAVE NO FEAR IN THIS YEAR".
"..for the earth will be as full of the knowledge of Adonai as water covering the sea."
"Who of us can live with the devouring fire?" and then lists those who will be able to do this.
The Lord repeated this to me 3 times!
There are many who have prepared well and they will move towards the wedding day quietly finishing the details. Others now
will go into feverish activity as they begin to realise the short time they have to complete the work.
"GET READY, BE PREPARED"
How should we do that?
"LIGHTEN THE LOAD"
Some of this has already been done but there is still a need to throw away everything that is no longer of use and has become
clutter (both natural and spiritual).
"WEEP AS FOR AN ONLY SON"
Begin to cry out for the lost.
"WEEP BETWEEN THE PORCH AND THE ALTAR"
There is great need for hearts to turn. As your cries are heard I will soften stoney hearts, I will plough stoney ground, I will
change circumstances, I am ready to work now.
"THIS IS THE TIME for many are entering the Valley of Decision now. My love and My life will draw and turn them.
FIRST TO THE PLACE OF INTIMACY.
SECOND, DOWN INTO THE VALLEY WHERE MANY STAND RIGHT NOW."

judgement.
