The Church Behind the Church

From an aerial view, I found myself looking down upon a great
mass of people - millions, tens of millions, maybe more. Towering
before this great mass were spires, many of them, lined up closely
side-by-side.These vertical towers stretched from horizon to
horizon. Each one differed from the others in its appearance.
Each tower was squeezed in between two others so that all butted
up against the ones on either side. Some of these spires were
grand and majestic and noble. Others were plain and mundane.Some
were tall and modern. Others were short and antiquated. Some
had crosses on them. Others didn't. Some were wide. Many more
were narrow. Some were glistening and grandiose. Others were
drab. But each spire had its place.
Each spire was portrayed in a way as to attract attention to
itself. Some overlapped those beside them. Some were overshadowed
by the size of others.Some drew attention to their majesty. Others
drew attention to their modesty. Few drew attention to their
Creator. Some were nearly lost in the busyness of the whole scene.
The juxtaposition of one spire to the next, and the contrasts
between them, made the whole image dizzying. This mixture had
the appearance of a poorly conceived patchwork quilt, making
the wall that the masses was looking at almost indiscernible
as to what it actually was. However, the skyline was distinctive,
and clearly revealed what was represented. You could see spire
stacked next to spire for as far as the eye could see - pinnacles
proudly extending themselves upward. I noticed that the tightness
of their formation next to one another made it impossible to
see past them.
Upon closer examination, I observed that each of the spires had
something written on it - "Lutheran", "Charismatic", "Catholic",
"Messianic", "Pentecostal","Methodist", "Apostolic", "Brethren",
"Presbyterian","Friends", "Church of God", "Anglican", "Independent",
"Orthodox", "Mennonite", "Episcopal", "Baptist","Church of Christ",
etc. They were all there; every denomination, every non-denomination,
every organization, every church, every Christian initiative,
every fellowship, every "faith". It went on and on. Each spire
was unique in its appearance.Together they made up a spectacular,
yet distasteful collage.
The Holy Spirit revealed to me that this is how the world saw
the Church. And they mocked. They made jokes about each of the
different spires. They ridiculed the gaudiness of the assortment.
They pointed out the hypocrisies of the various segments. They
pointed to the defects of others. They spoke with derision about
the conflicts between different factions. They laughed. They
sneered. They spat.
And my spirit was grieved.
Then the Lord began to move me from that vantage point. He took
me up and over the top of the spires,around to the back side.
From here I could see what the world could not. The wall of towers
that they saw was not a series of buildings constructed close
together after all, but rather a thin, flimsy exterior being
held up by supports. It was a façade! It was like a mock western
movie set made up of fake storefronts. What seemed to be solid
from the front,was clearly unsteady when viewed from the back.
What the world saw was a surrealistic representation of the Church,
made up of a mixture of man's ideas, Truth, and heresy. However,
it was impossible for them to know which was which amidst the
jumble before them.
But then I began to see THE CHURCH!
I saw the hand of the Lord reaching into a section of the façade
from the back side, and pull something out. Although the façade
appeared to be constructed of wood, the hand of the Lord reached
into it and gently pulled out a brick. Only this brick was not
made of clay. It was like pure crystal - perfectly clear. He
took this brick and set it in place, along with others like it,
behind the façade. Then He reached into another section of the
façade and pulled out another crystal brick. He continued to
do this, pulling crystal bricks out from all over the back side
of the façade. Each one He would carefully position in its proper
place. Every brick fit perfectly where He placed it, and all
were like pure crystal.
What I saw the Lord building was breathtaking! It was a structure
of such elegance, such splendor, such magnificence! This was
no collage. This was no façade. It had the appearance of a large
majestic cathedral, only constructed of pure crystal, reflecting
the true image of Christ. No edifice that man has ever built
even approaches the beauty of what I saw. It was radiant - literally!
The resplendent glory of Christ, the Cornerstone, shown up through,
and was magnified out from, each of the crystal bricks, which
were no longer distinguishable individually.
This was THE CHURCH, the ekklesia, the called out ones!
The Lord had been working on it for thousands of years, and although
it was not yet complete, it was well-advanced. But it could not
be seen by the world – yet.
Then suddenly I was looking at this same image, but a period
of time had passed and I was in the future. I don't know how
long it had been. But, the Church that the Lord was building
was complete - standing immovable, without equal, still hidden
behind the facade. And now it was time for the world to see it!
The world had continued in their state of mockery of the Church
since I had seen them last. But something was beginning to happen.
It was like a deep rumbling was beginning to take place, shaking
everything. Suddenly, I could see from the back side the hand
of the Lord strike the facade. In a momentof time, like the veil
of the temple that was rent when Christ was crucified, the façade
was split in half. It fell flat, sending debris and dust flying.
There was confusion and panic by most on the other side. Some
were triumphing in the fact that the"Church" had fallen. Then,
a nervous hush began tosettle over the masses. The air began
to clear. I could hear gasps coming from the crowd. For standing
there, seen by the world for the first time in its true glory,
was the Church - pure, spotless, without blemish, majestic, powerful.
In stunned, dreadful awe the world was saying, "Where did this
come from?" The gravity of what they were beholding began to
sink in. There was no more mockery. There were no more jokes.
There was no more faults to be found. There was no more gaudy
imitation. There was no more hypocrisy. There was no more division.
How could there be? There was only Christ - and His Bride, the
Church,left standing!

THE BRIDE IS HEADED FOR THE DELIVERY ROOM

My Bride is headed for the delivery room. She is ready to give birth. Contractions are coming closer and closer together. Through groanings that cannot be uttered,
that which has been conceived shall come forth. I say to you now, PUSH! PUSH! PUSH! Hold My leaders - those whom I have set over you - in prayer, for they will
feel the effects first. Be warned for it will be messy, but those who see it through will receive the reward: whole cities and nations will be her inheritance. Many will
come into the Kingdom because of what I will bring forth.
Now is the time to breathe! The winds are blowing. BREATHE! BREATHE! BREATHE! I am raising up leaders to lead the Bride through the birthing process. They
must be held up before the Throne in your intercession, for it will be messy for them at times.
I am bringing forth a fresh wind of the Apostolic and Prophetic in the Land. I am bringing forth an Apostolic Revolution in your midst. A Fresh word will come forth
out of the Bride. I will awaken My Bride from her sleep with visions and dreams from the Throne. I am calling you to come together as one unified Bride - in
intercession, throughout the birthing process. Some will be called to deep intercession, even in the latest hours of the night. Pray fervently, for contractions will
come closer and closer together.
I am about to birth a new song in the land, such that has never been heard before. Songs of deliverance will rise up in your midst. New songs shall come forth out
of the Bride. She will give birth to songs coming down from the Throne. A new generation of radical worshipers, worship leaders, and worship music will rise up out
of the Bride.
There will come a fresh wind to the youth. They too will undergo the birthing process.
A fresh word shall come through them, and they shall be a Joshua generation who will bring forth a fresh word. Have I not written that your sons and daughters
shall prophesy?
I will raise up key leaders to train and equip the Bride. She will be well equipped, for birth. She will be a Bride who loves and nurtures Her children. The leaders
that arise will train others to go through the birthing process, and leaders shall give birth to leaders.
For the Bride to give birth, she must be unified. What I desire to bring forth can only be birthed through a unified Bride and not a dis-jointed harem.
I am calling for the Bride to prepare the birthing rooms. On-going worship and intercession will arise to strengthen the Bride and honor the Bridegroom. Places will
emerge throughout the land.
The intimacy that shall come will be like that of Ruth and Boaz, and they shall bring forth the line of David.
I have great gifts for My expectant Bride. Showers have been planned for her, but they will be showers of blessing. The gifts that I will give to Her are those things
that she has longed for. What I will bring forth from My Bride will cause Her to examine Her life and re-order Her priorities, but there will come out of this a great
reward. I clothe My Bride in the finest raiment.
Signs and wonders shall increase as a token from the Bridegroom to the Bride. Many will be healed, the dead shall rise, and multitudes will come into the
Kingdom. The Bride will hunger more and more for the things of the Kingdom. The anointing oil will flow in a greater measure to help Her go through the birthing
process. I will help My Bride along the way, and she will give birth in the River. The waters will be warm and soothing for Her.
What shall come forth out of the Bride will not be stolen. I will protect it. I will seal it. There will be a hedge of protection over My Bride, and the birth will not be
aborted. Be encouraged, for My Bride will not give birth prematurely, for the timing is in the hand of the Bridegroom.
Get ready, My Bride, for that which has been conceived is soon to come forth!

INTERCEDING FOR YOUR PASTOR.

Too often ministry in churches is based on someone's good idea. An elder or the clergy has a good idea that is reasonable and
looks great. Then when it is planned and executed, there are little or no results. Like the disciples fishing all-night and catching
nothing, we work hard and long and sometimes have little to show for our labour. Then the Lord comes along and says, "Try
the other side of the boat one more time." If we have ears (intercessors) to hear, we may have the courage to be obedient and
grudgingly let out the net one more time, His way. How amazed we are at the fruit of our obedience. How much we need to
learn to listen, so that a program or an event is based on what "seems good to the Holy Spirit and to us." We haven't the time
and resources to waste on what is just my good idea. When ministry is reasonable and anointed of the Spirit then it is worth
investing our resources. The role of the personal intercessor is to help discern what the Lord calling us to do. However, the
final decision must always rest with the clergy and the elders. The role of the intercessor is one of being an extra set of ears.
They are not the only ears, just an extra set.
Listen to the word of caution there. A personal intercessor has no place seeking power nor private influence. It is not a place
for ambition, personal glory nor personal agenda. "Here is what I think I hear the Lord saying,..." is always the best approach.
There is the danger that sometimes the intercessor will have their own spin on what the Lord means. It is very important to try
to put that aside and keep simply to exactly what you get, whether it be words or picture.
One intercessor knocked at my door on a Saturday evening and said simply, "I don't know what this means, but the Lord says,
'Don't be afraid. Go for it.' ". He had no idea that I was wrestling with the sermon I had written, wondering if it was too
strongly worded. I can tell you I really appreciated his "I don't know what this means, but....". As I delivered the sermon the
next morning I was not nearly as badly effected as I could have been when one of the people stood up in the pew in the middle
of the sermon and stomped out. I don't think that happens much in Anglican churches. God's message through the intercessor
saved me much personal grief and anguish and the message, that God had given me had been delivered.

A prophetic teaching and warning to those who would be placed (or place others)
into the God-Called-Chosen-Empowered positions of Leadership in the Church....
This was called "the sin of Jeroboam" in the Old Testament... may this warning
be prayerfully and Scripturally considered.
FACE TO FACE - AND THEN "SENT"
When Jesus looked upon Nathanael approaching Him,
He said, 'Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false."
"You shall see greater things than that. I tell you (plural) the Truth, you
(plural) shall see Heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending
on the Son of Man." [John 1:47,50,51]

"Taking one of the stones there, he (Jacob) put it under his head and lay down
to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway (or ladder) resting on the
earth, with its top reaching to Heaven, and the angels of God were ascending
and descending on it. There above it (or there beside him) stood the LORD...."
Gen 28:10-12
May all Jacobs, all Nathanaels -- all true Israelites -- lay "your head" upon
The Rock (The HEAD) ... taking all thoughts captive, making them "obedient to
Christ"... and from that place of rest and quietness, watch and see the
ascending/descending principle of Life in the Kingdom.
"You (plural) shall see Heaven Open.. and the angels of God,
ascending and descending upon the Son of Man"
Life in the Kingdom is seen in flowing movement.. ascending and descending....
rising up to God.. then returning to (son of) man. Like Evaporation... rising
up and then being poured forth from the heavenlies in the form of rain..
precipitation of one form or another... to feed the life that is growing on the
earth with the precious waters of Heaven. In Christ, we ascend to the Father,
receive our new names .. our new natures...conformed to the Name/Nature of
Christ Jesus, and then we descend again back into the valleys of darkness,
where we are to be Lights set on a hill, magnifying and glorifying the Name of
God.
"Sent-ones" (true apostles of God) have climbed the ladder of Divine
Theophanies through the Names of God, and have entered, by the Grace of God,
into a pure contemplation of God, seeing Him, face to face - They have been
conformed to His Image, His Name.. empowered and authorized to bring forth the
Living-Revelation (the Name) of the Son of God on earth.... to walk in the
dominion of darkness we see in the lives of the early church.
When we see the return of this manifestation of true apostolic life
in the Church, we shall know that these ones have been with God..
and have known God .... even as they are known.
When the very 'shadow' of an apostle is able to manifest dominion over the
works of evil and darkness, then we shall know one has indeed ascended and
descended again to do the works of the Father, even as Jesus said those who
followed Him would do.
To be a SENT ONE - cannot be a 'title' given by man.... for the Reality will be
shown... Without the Authority given by the Hand of God Himself, this position
of authority in the Church, is without confirmation.. Many have a form of
godliness... but deny the Power Thereof. ONLY God calls and then sends His
Sent Ones.
The Spirit of God has assured my heart many times:
"When the real comes, the counterfeit will flee. "
I believe many in this generation who have taken the title of 'apostle' upon
themselves will be humbled by the manifestation of the true sons of God...
For many are called, but few are chosen
In warning and exhortation to those who would claim to be
something the Lord has not called them to be
In that Love for which our words are inadequate,

A Word From Your King
LEE R BALLARD
Come unto Me all those who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For you are My children, and you have
gone through many hard battles but I am with you, and I am strengthening you every step of the way. Do not listen to the lies
of the evil one for he is out to deter your progress in Me. You are out to take the land, and I am stripping off of you all your
heavy baggage, and I am setting you free so that you can move swiftly in My Spirit.
Yes, My children, cast off all that has held you back. Take off the garments of heaviness and put on your garments of praise.
And worship Me and draw close to Me and listen intently for I have so much to share with you about coming events. I want
you ready spiritually and prayed up and already prepared as when these events take place for I want to loose an anointing
through you that will turn the tides.
I want to open blind eyes through you and deaf ears that many can see My face and hear My calling them near. I want to save
the multitudes through you. I want to set the captives free so that they can run swiftly the race before them. For many have
been mortally wounded in the battle, and at present they feel that they are to no value to the kingdom of God.
So be ready to encourage and exhort and to lift up and heal and apply the oil of gladness upon their hearts so that they can rise
up and be the mighty warriors I have called them to be. And there is no time to waste, My children, for these are crucial
times. The enemy is coming in as a flood trying to scatter My people. But I have come to take over. I am the King of kings,
the Mighty Warrior, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and I reign mightily over all the earth. And I am in charge of this battle.
Nothing takes place that I don't have my hand on. I am working all these events together to bring forth My mighty plan to
bring forth My government in this land.
So rest in your Father's love and have no fear for I am very near to you, more so when you don't feel My presence. I am
drawing you nearer to Me, and I am bringing you into My inner chambers, and look up, My chosen people, My children, My
friends, for your redemption is drawing nigh, says your King.

The Great Civil War

I am teaching American Literature this year at school and included in our anthology is the text for the Gettysburg
Address. In reviewing this document, which I had to memorize when I was in High School, a statement jumped out at
me. I feel it was the Lord saying something to us.
"Now we are engaged in a great civil war."
What is the nature of a civil war? It is NOT a war between two separate nations, but rather a war within the same
nation. In the mid to late 1800's our nation was ripped apart by a civil war, with loss of lives which boggle the mind
when we view the numbers. It was torn asunder by the "defenders of the truth" on two sides!
But the civil war the Lord speaks of is not a "national" war, but a kingdom war, and it rages among His people and
within them. The whole nature of this war is over the Inheritance. The war is over our declaration to our Lord:
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
The great civil war is the war between darkness and light. The basic issue at hand is that natural man prefers
darkness over Light.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The world system does NOT welcome the light, but prefers darkness. Our flesh prefers living in darkness because
that is the comfort zone. So when His light shines upon flesh there is a war. Paul the apostle speaks of this civil war
all through Romans 7..His spirit had been quickened by the Light of God, but his flesh prefered to do the things of
darkness. Paul, however, became victorious in his walk with the Lord as Christ was formed in him. As we permit
Christ to form in us, we too will prefer the LIGHT over darkness.
The great civil war is the resistance to His coming kingdom. The resistance is both individual and corporate. It is
within the church and without, among the "believers and professors of the faith" and the lost. It is heightened amongst
the "defenders of the truth," when the "truth" defended is not the Truth that sets men free. Jesus is the TRUTH and
His kingdom is at hand (right under our noses and in our face). The time is NOW to stop "warring among our
members" and turn our focus onto HIM.!

BE DRESSED IN MY ARMOR

"This is an hour of change and transition. This is an hour of "flux" and change. Consider that molten lava gets
very hot, and eventually it erupts under high pressures and temperatures. Many of my people have been under high
pressure for a long time. For I have been forming you and shaping you as a blacksmith would. Now it is the time for
you to be "fully formed." I have shaped you and have given you contour and edges. Under intense heat and
pressure I have been able to form your character."
(The Lord showed me someone who was working in a blacksmith shop. My eye was directed to pieces of metal that
were being formed and made into something. Then I noticed that these pieces of metal were on fire and were in the
midst of a furnace. Flames were all around them and there was intense heat. Afterwards as I watched this, a
bracelet, a breastplate, and other metal shields were formed. They were very sturdy and yet beautiful in
appearance.)
The Lord then said:
"These are part of the armor that my warriors will need for the battle that is coming. I have said that "You must put
on the whole army of God so that you would be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." So, in this hour I AM
equipping you and making you ready. You have need of the breastplate of my righteousness. You have need of the
shield of faith. You have need of the sword of the Spirit. Gird your loins with truth. Put on the helmet of salvation.
These things will serve you well in your battle against the enemy."
(The Lord showed me a man who was seemingly ready now for battle, but his feet were bare. I noticed a pair of
sandals that were being fitted upon his feet to now complete his garb and battle armor.)
"I will make you ready for the days that lie ahead. The battle is mine, and I will win. Dress in the armor of my army
though, and be ready. "

THE VISION - THE RIDER ON A WHITE HORSE
I looked and there before me was a rider on a white horse, and His
name was the Word of God.
And there also I saw a beast with many heads and its heads rose up in
defiance of the Word of God and it rose as a dragon and it spat fire
from its mouth and nostrils. And its head split in two and the two
smaller heads, one a crocodile and the other a serpent came forth and
it became a three-headed monstrosity, and it was an abomination in the
sight of God. The Lord took His sword and smote the beast, and there
were many at His side.
And the Lord spoke to my spirit and said:
------- "SEE, I AM RAISING AN ARMY FOR WAR!"
MULTITUDES IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION
I saw multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of Decision. (Joel
3:12-16) I saw angels with swords drawn and they were executing the
judgement of God in the Valley of Decision. Others were not judged
but were translated from the Valley of Decision into a heavenly
chariot and found themselves by the side of Jesus.
The following are the words the Lord then impressed to my spirit. I
spoke in tongues for the entire time that I scribed this vision and
the prophecy that follows. I have not experienced this Holy Spirit
phenomenon in this particular manner before. I cannot normally speak
a different language and write at the same time, and I believe that it
was divine revelation and interpretation being simultaneously poured
out by the Spirit of God that enabled me to do so.
HOW LONG CAN YOU SERVE TWO MASTERS?
"I am releasing the Spirit of Elijah, for the Elisha's cannot go
forward without the mantle of Elijah. They shall be covered in Grace
and Wisdom. See also, I am dealing with the Spirit of compromise.
You cannot serve two masters, and I say to you My people, "How long
shall you falter between two opinions?" (1 Ki 18:21)
GRACE FOR REPENTANCE, RECONCILIATION AND RESTORATION
I am demonstrating My great Mercy among the nations; My Grace is upon
the church for repentance, for reconciliation and for restoration. I
am assembling the many parts of My army from the ends of the earth and
from every nation they shall come.
BROKEN VESSELS DISPLAY GOD'S GLORY
New vessels from brokenness shall display My Glory. The Glory
outpouring is coming to My people. It will light the heavenly places,
and the darkness will be exposed. All deception and corruption will
be exposed. The shadows will cease to be a hiding place for the
things of the world.
HOW LONG SHALL YOU FALTER?
Separate yourselves unto Me My children, for I cannot send you into
the world and to the lost, until you have learned that you cannot
serve two masters. How long shall you falter? (Mt 6:24)
HOLINESS AND INTIMACY - THE ONLY WAY FORWARD
The Way forward is the path of Holiness. It is lit by the brilliance
of intimacy with the Father's heart. Warriors you cannot be, until
you learn to yield to My Spirit. Until you put all other idols on the
altar before Me and confess that you have wandered from your First
Love, and then you will be washed in the Blood, then you will see the
Priesthood restored to My Body. Your first duty is to minister unto
the Lord your God. I Am God and there is none like Me. I am
Everlasting to Everlasting; I know the beginning and the end. I am
the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.
RID YOURSELVES OF THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD
Set yourselves apart from the ways of the world, and I shall purify
and cleanse your hearts, and once you have been purified and cleansed
and washed in the Blood, then and only then, shall I send My Bride
forth as the Bride who is as terrible as Banners, (SoS 6:4) and My Son
shall lead this Army for His Name is the Word of God, and every knee
shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And the
world shall see the Glory of God revealed through the Church, when she
is thus purified.
ISRAEL AND ISHMAEL UNITED
And Israel shall come in and the sons of Ishmael shall come in, and
see the two will become One, for did not the sacrifice of My Son
accomplish the division of walls? (Eph 2:14-18; Ro 11:25-27; Gen
21:11-13)
UNPRECEDENTED APOSTOLIC POWER TO BE RELEASED
And great power shall be entrusted to the purified. To the purified,
the anointing that is with the Word of God shall be given. Signs and
wonders as yet unseen will be seen in the nations of the earth, and it
shall be a testimony to My Glory. (Mt 24:30-31)
IDOLS WILL FALL AND JEHOVAH WILL BE PRAISED IN THE NATIONS
In the Himalayan Mountains and in Pakistan, great idols shall fall,
and the Light shall be lifted for all men to see (Jn 12:31), and those
who are in darkness shall see their Saviour and their hearts will
respond. In Thailand and in Mongolia the Buddhist and the Hindu shall
turn their eyes towards God, and Jehovah, the Great I AM, shall be
praised in the nations.
HOW LONG SHALL YOU FALTER BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS
And I say again to My Precious Bride, how long shall you falter
between two opinions? (1 Ki 18:21)

take your stand against the devil's schemes. [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,
against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
realms. [13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your
ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your
waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the
gospel of peace. [16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming
arrows of the evil one. [17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [18] And
pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the saints."
