Great Shall Be the Ruin Of the Evil One

Glenn H. Jackson

...."This is a time of watchful learning My beloved children. Take heed of all those things which I have spoken to you and allow yourselves to be a "pure vessel" of My love to all those whose paths cross yours. Fear not for even though it appears much has been lost throughout the years, I swear to you according to My Word that you shall reap "one hundred fold" (divine restoration - maximum fruit) in the time between now and the catching away of the Church.

It is a time of great fruit-bearing. Hold fast to My Word. Guard your heart with all diligence - for from it flow the springs of life.

Surely the Evil One will attempt, in desperation, to remove the seed. But behold My Word has taken root in your heart and you will not by moved by anything but My Word, and great shall be the ruin of the Evil One!"....

"SATAN ATTEMPTS TO CAUSE MY CHILDREN TO REACT QUICKLY"

...."My beloved children, if you will listen clos ely to the voice of My Spirit in EVERY situation you encounter you will soon forget any concern you might have for what other people think. For in waiting on Me every word you speak shall "bless" the hearer whether they realize it at the time or not.

It is for this reason that Satan attempts to cause My children to react quickly - relying only on their "feelings" of the moment. This is why, as you pause and wait on Me, then truly the abundance of your heart shall spring forth. There will be times when that abundance of My Word will flow forth suddenly as the Spirit wills, but I say to you practice listening to My voice at every turn - for in doing so you will be greatly blessed (empowered) and because of this you will be a great blessing to all those who cross your path"....

"YOU SHALL SPEAK MY WORD IN EVERY SITUATION"

...."You shall speak My Word in every situation that I lead you into, but behold - in speaking the truth continually with no compromise - those who continue to lean on their own understanding and thus forsake My counsel shall "surely" be offended.

Make no apology for the words you speak, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and your heart is filled with My Word. Therefore speak out boldly, knowing that it is I who give you the words. Did I not say to you "I have put My words in your mouth?"

Only listen to all which I speak to you and hearken diligently unto the voice of My Spirit, for the words which you speak are life and only those whose hearts are hardened against Me - who choose to sow the seeds of death in the face of the abundant life I have provided for them - will be offended.

Truly, truly I say to you, they shall be pierced in their hearts, for My Word is living and active and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart"....

"I TAKE GREAT PLEASURE IN SEEING MY CHILDREN WALK IN FAITH DESPITE OVERWHELMING CIRCUMSTANCES"

...."Fear not, My beloved ones, for I am about to bless you in a way you could never have comprehended in your own understanding. Hold fast for I am with you always. Be diligent in prayer and in the hearing of My Word; for you shall not wait much longer for the blessing to arrive.

I take great pleasure in seeing My children walk in faith despite overwhelming circumstances, placing My Word above ALL else, and truly I say to you the world will see those of My children who do so, for I shall exalt them (give them a "platform") to a degree whereby all shall see clearly that it is My hand which is upon them. Therefore, My beloved ones, having done everything to stand firm, stand firm!"....

I Am Washing My Hands & I Am Making a Clean Sweep

Mary Clark

Yesterday morning, during intercession, the Lord said these two phrases to me. He wishes to elaborate at this time. ***

I, the Lord God Almighty, am doing something at this hour in a most pronounced fashion. I want you to know that those things that I have looked on with disdain in My church are about to be scrubbed clean off the agendas of those who are in My service. I am requiring that you look on this as good. I will no longer tolerate those things that present the living Creator as dull and mundane. I will no longer do things man's way. No! I will no longer put up with this abhorrence in My sanctuaries from those who have stated a commitment to My service. Hear Me NOW, beloved. I am washing My hands of the dull and mundane. The name of the living Creator has been sullied by those presenting Me in this fashion. I abhor it! I abhor all that is presented about Me that is not ME! There is so much about Me that I would have My children understand. There is so much love and good that flows from My heart. But man for too long has squelched the real Me. Now, I am about to squelch man's ways - man's scheme of things is about to be demolished.

The Beloved is going to rise high in hearts, bearing His will and His true self. His true personality is going to be shown brightly to those in the world who are called by His name. Look forward to this, beloved. Again I say, I want you to look forward to this great washing of My mighty hands, and embrace all of the changes I bring with this occurrence.

I am about to sweep some areas clean that for too long have been littered with the traditions of man. I want you to behold the mighty broom of the Master as He makes His giant strokes, sweeping areas of litter clean. These are areas that you have built a shrine around, beloved. They must go. They simply MUST go also. Look forward to a well-swept area in your midst, and know with every good house cleaning comes something new and attractive. I am going to add some things in your midst that you may look on as completely foreign to YOUR way of thinking. When you see these additions, kindly give Me the opportunity to explain Myself through My word. Kindly remain silent until I am through explaining Myself. You will see, beloved, that it takes patience on My part to give to you blessings that you would rather refuse. It takes great patience to see My children, holding tightly to things that are detrimental to their advancement in Me. I have been and intend to be patient with YOU. Now, I am asking that YOU be patient with ME and listen - listen to all that I have to say, beloved. Yes! Be patient and listen are two requirements that I am making of you this day. Be patient and listen!!!

A Greater House than Gods

Bryan Hupperts

What would you do if you suddenly had unimaginable wealth and you could merely speak a thing and it would be done? If this sounds like a teenage daydream, it happened to one young man named Solomon.

His father was the famed King David of Israel. David had many wives and lovers who gave him numerous osns and daughters. From among this considerable litter, it was God who sovereignly chose Solomon to sit on the throne and continue the promised kingly dynasty.

David had saved jewels, gold, silver, timber, everything need to construct the long promised House of Worship for Israel's God. Building the Lord's house was the lone driving passion of his life. When he was finally ready to begin, God stopped him. David told the people of Israel, in 1 Chronicles 28 2, "I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it. But God said to me, `You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.'"

While obviously personally disappointed at the Lord's wishes, being a pleasing son he complied. He continued saying in verse 6, "Now He said to me, `It is your son Solomon who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.'"

And what did Solomon do with this great task for which he was appointed? He went the way of many mega ministries and celebrated TV evangelists. In 2 Chronicles 2:1, "Then Solomon determined to build a temple for the name of the LORD, and a royal house for himself."

Did he build the House of the Lord? Yes, and it was one of the wonders of the ancient world. He also built a house for himself. But what's wrong with building your own house? In 1 Kings 6:38, "The house (of the Lord) was finished in all its details and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it." That's right, it took a massive public building project 7 years to build this palatial structure – all for the glory of God. The next verse, though, it very revealing about what was really in Solomon's heart.

"But Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; so he finished all his house." He spent 7 years building a house of worship for God, but he took 13 years to build a magnificent house for himself. Some scholars speculate that Solomon's house might have been grander than the house he had built for the Israel's God. King David amassed a fortune to do the work of the Lord. He wanted the Lord to be honored in the earth and had it in his heart to build a place worthy enough – if that were possible - to contain the presence of God all so that he might receive the worship overdue him from his people.

Solomon did build the temple of God but built himself a greater house. In the end, God was so displeased with this man that he tore the nation of Israel in two. Divided houses cannot stand. Because Solomon was more concerned with garnering a great name for himself than honoring the name of the Lord, civil war came to the people of God.

Civil war continues to rage even in these days as called men and women earnestly do the work of the kingdom, preaching the Gospel, but seek to make even greater houses and names for themselves. The sad result is that God is not honored, the people labor under great financial strain to build these personal houses (ministries), and finally the true house of the Lord – the people of God – are divided and thus cannot stand.

Ahh, for a leader like David to emerge in our generation whose only desire is to build the Kingdom of God so that the Lord might receive the worship and praise He alone is due. If this were to happen, God would be pleased and the people would again find rest. True shepherds always honor God and lead the flock to lie down safely in green pastures, beside the still waters, where God can restore their weary souls. Their sole driving passion is to build a House made up of living stones all for the glory and honor of their God.

A River To Cross

By Alison Papenfus

I was sitting on a plane travelling home this morning and having 3 seats to myself began to pray concerning my own prophetic gift and the gift in others on the ministry team I serve with. As I prayed I began to groan inwardly at our shallowness, our partial understanding, our blindness at times; I began to cry out to the Lord for a new level of insight, and to tell him that I was willing to do whatever it took to come to a place where I could hear him more clearly and stand in a new level of revelation.

Then I saw a vision. It was of a muddy river, swift flowing, with debris floating downstream - huge tree-trunks, bits of old cars, what might have been the roof of a building, sodden clothing and even a few old shoes. As I looked closer I saw myself and some others standing on one bank. We were looking at the waters, then wandering away - considering them again, then wandering off for a bit. I began to understand that I have grown comfortable with what I have, that the battle to get across another river to a new place in God is not a welcome effort. I can carry on where I am - from time to time I may look at the river and think about going across, but actually when the battle becomes reality ... well, it's a bit more than I want to do ... because I have just about enough to carry on with here, on this bank.

As I considered the battle (oh no, Lord - not another one!) and the danger from tree trunks (wood=man) and old car bodies (rusty old car = disintegrated ministries), the dirt in the water, the danger of the current .. it just went on and on ...I didn't want to do it ... not again. But the dissatisfaction grew in me with where I was - and I knew that I would have to do it -because I cant stay here!

Then I saw myself and another struggle into the waters. We dodged tree trunks - when she was knocked over I grabbed her and pulled her back to her feet, when I was tangled in an old car body she held onto me and pushed the old car away in the torrent; we waded through thick mud and deep stones, the water swirled around our chests, we would not have made it alone. Then we struggled to the far bank. We could not stand. There was a heaviness about the presence of God that was almost crushing; there was a thick sence of revelation, suddenly our vision was more vivid, our ears sharper - but we were unable to rise from our knees to stand, the weight of the presence of God on the far bank was too much. We could not do what we had done before - wandering around in our own strength, making our own plans, speaking words of prophecy as we chose - on the far bank there was a new level of the fear of God, and a new sence of his purpose for ourselves and for others.

As my plane came in to land I knew I had some decisions to make. Perhaps I am not the only one.

The Kingdom Of God is a "Double Feature"

Michael Sullivant

In a spiritual dream, I saw the kingdom of God as having two theatres operating concurrently. The first theatre represented God's sovereign activity in relation to his purposes. The second theatre represented the arena of human responsibility as it relates to God's purposes. It was like a "double feature", only the "shows" were playing at the same time. This was a word play on "two features" of God's kingdom purposes-God's part and our part. This could also represent two general "features," or aspects, of God's ways with humanity.

THE DEEP MYSTERIES OF DIVINE SOVEREIGNTY

I saw many people milling around the first theatre, trying to peer into the deep mysteries that surround divine sovereignty. They were captivated by the intrigue that it involves. However, the second theatre was almost empty. This was an urgent concern on the Lord's heart. Many of God's people were so fascinated by the first theatre that they were neglecting their arena of responsibility. Their inquisitiveness was paralyzing them from taking action. In this particular scenario, they were "philosophizing" as a subtle fleshly substitute for obeying!

THE SECOND THEATRE OF OPERATIONS

I knew that the Lord wanted to shift his people's attention on to the second theatre and draw them into it. The show that was playing there was not as intellectually intoxicating. It was very simple and practical. There was a posture of heart that was required to properly participate in this arena. It involved being in awe of the mystery of God's sovereignty and allowing this to lead them into humility, prayer and worship. The mysteries of God will never be exhausted by our finite minds and God has strategically ordained this dynamic.

In the next scene I saw the Lord as a "general contractor" of a vast building project. He had hired us as sub-contractors on the project.

STAYING OUT OF HIS "OFFICE"

The sub-contractors weren't to concern themselves with trying to do, or even comprehend, the job of the general contractor-this would distract them from doing their part. They needed to focus upon their job. The Lord didn't want people trying to occupy His "office." It is God's exclusive realm of responsibility to comprehend and righteously engineer the big picture of earthly activities in such a way that his name is glorified in the end. God is able to even turn evil upon its head to serve his ultimate purposes.

Ps 76:10 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; with the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself. (NKJ)

SOVEREIGNTY AS SAFETY NET

In the last scene, I saw the sovereignty of God as a "safety net" under some acrobats. I knew that we were like those acrobats who, if they concentrated upon the net's presence, would be unable to perform their feats. They would miss their timing, their queues and their leaps and catches. God has called us to do kingdom exploits that require much preparation, self-discipline, timing, coordination, teamwork, courage, trust and skill. We should be truly grateful for the safety net of His mysterious sovereignty, but should not allow its reality to distract us from the responsibility before us. We are being called to do our part in the enterprise of God's kingdom. We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves us is not alone. Faith without works equals dead religion.

James 2:26 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

WHAT GOD MUST DO --- AND WHAT WE MUST DO

Through faith we must intercede, fast, humble ourselves, give generously, study and meditate, remember the poor, love our spouses and children, go to the unreached peoples, minister to the sick, evangelize the lost, serve our local church, preach and teach the word of God, disciple new converts and develop a rich secret devotional life. God will not do these things for us. We cannot do the things that only God can do and God will not do for us what he has called and empowered us to do with the promised help of the Holy Spirit.

Deut 29:29 "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (NKJ)

CARNALITY MOTIVATES US TOWARD THE NOVEL

We tend to be motivated, through both our carnality and the forces of modern culture, by what is novel. However, the things that God has ordained for us to do, although we may find fresh expressions for them, are simple, reasonable and historically established activities-things like intercession.

CALLING DOWN THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT

May God help us to find our way back to the joyful labor and profound practice of "calling down" the power of His Spirit and kingdom, both night and day, upon the regions of this earth in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. And, may we be enabled by Him to live out the other aspects of our lives in such a way that they become totally supportive of and integrated with this holy preoccupation of prayer.

Present Truth

Jim Wies

The term "Present Truth" itself comes from the terminology used in the old King James version of the verse in 2 Peter 1:12 "Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth."

Our goal of course, would be to be fully "established in present truth".

The idea, however, is that there is a "present truth" which is, in essence the "current" truth that God is emphasizing at this present time. For example, the cutting edge of "Present Truth" during the 1500's was that we are justified by faith", aka the Lutheran movement. Another example would be the early 1900's when the "hot" truth, or "present truth" at that time was that God was pouring out a fresh Pentecostal experience and people were speaking in tongues. (Azusa Street revival, etc) The hope for us as prophetic people is that we would be walking in "present truth"; not last years "old manna" or an emphasis God was bringing forth as "rhema" 10 years go or 100 years ago.

It could be considered that each fresh move of God is moving in "present truth". For example, during the 50's and the healing evangelists, God as our healer was the "present truth". In the late 80's the restoration of prophets and prophetic ministry was "present truth" . We are now in a time when one of the "currently emphasized" truths from God is a restoration of the apostolic, and more importantly than that, the emphasis that one of the essential responsibilities of the "5-fold" is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry - to raise up an last days army of ministers to harvest the earth and make ready a people prepared for HIS coming.

When people or churches apply the term to themselves that they are "present truth" or "present day truth" they are acknowledging the idea that there are certain 'current emphasis' truths God works in, and that they believe they are on the cutting edge of His current "word". Of course there is always the danger that the "present truth" gang will become an old dead denomination too, like almost every other movement that was a fresh move of its day.

The Text Plus the Holy Spirit

A. W. Tozer

So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. --Ezekiel 33:31

When you are trying to find out the condition of a church, do not just inquire whether it is evangelical. Ask whether it is an evangelical rationalistic church that says, "The text is enough," or whether it is a church that believes that the text plus the Holy Spirit is enough....

I would rather be part of a small group with inner knowledge than part of a vast group with only intellectual knowledge. In that great day of Christ's coming, all that will matter is whether or not I have been inwardly illuminated, inwardly regenerated, inwardly purified. Faith Beyond Reason, 30,32.

"I too, Lord, 'would rather be part of a small group with inner knowledge than part of a vast group with only intellectual knowledge.' Fill us with Your Spirit and Your presence today. Amen."
