No Veil

Doug Fortune

I am restoring that which is fallen down and has lain in ruins... I am restoring the Tabernacle of David in this day. Yes, I am restoring intimate worship and dominion releasing praise, but I am restoring yet more than that. I am restoring a tabernacle with NO VEIL to hide My glory.

Have you not read of the new and living way made available through the veil, that is to say, the flesh of My Son? Was the veil in the temple not rent, and was the flesh life of My Son not rent as His SOUL was poured out as an offering? Even so, I am raising up a people whose flesh is rent, who do not labor under SOULISH attachments... they are My Tabernacle with NO VEIL.

In this Tabernacle shall I manifest My glory, My nature for all to see. Have I not decreed that My glory shall fill the earth and that every eye shall see My appearing? I am bringing this about as My glory is released through Tabernacles with no veils, that manifest My nature to the nations. Does not all creation groan in anticipation of mature sons coming forth? Have I not decreed the consummation of all things in Christ? So it shall be as I raise up a Tabernacle with NO VEIL, a Tabernacle not made with hands, a Tabernacle in which My fullness dwells, that I may gather the nations to Myself.

Will you be that Tabernacle with NO VEIL? Will you lose your SOULISH life that you may gain My Life, that I may manifest My glory through you? Will you be My instruments to bear My glory to the nations? Will you fulfill your destiny?

Commentary:

We are hearing much today concerning the restoration of the Tabernacle of David, and rightly so, as I believe it is paramount in God's purposes being fulfilled in the earth. Much of what I've read has focused on the aspects of worship and intimacy, warfare and dominion. These areas are imperative in restoring the Tabernacle, but we must bear in mind that these things represent PROCESS. All process must be measured and implemented within the context of PURPOSE.

We find the PURPOSE of restoring the Davidic Tabernacle in Acts 15:17, "...and will build again the Tabernacle of David... That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things." The real PURPOSE is the gathering of the nations to the Lord, and this happens as the glory (nature) of the Lord is revealed to the nations. Lest we fall into the same problem David did, let's remember that MAN (male and female), the shoulders of the priests (we are ALL priests), is the ONLY thing fit to bear the glory of the presence of God. You see, His glory is His NATURE manifested; it is what Adam was clothed with before his rebellion (Ps.8:5). After the fall, Adam was clothed with the skins of a beast, reflecting his new beast nature. An inanimate object cannot bear the NATURE of God, an ox cart simply won't do. Let us be careful not to make an ox cart of our worship and warfare... they are only a process that brings forth purpose.

Eph. 2:22 tells us that WE are the true Tabernacle of the Lord; "In whom ye also are builded together for an HABITATION of God through the Spirit." Heb.10:20 speaks of a new and living way which is made available for us through the veil, that is, the flesh of Jesus Christ. God is raising up a people who, like Jesus Christ, have had their SOULISH flesh life rent, who are free from the encumbrances and bondages that are a product of the 'psuche' life that originates from the mind, will and emotions. One of the Greek words for life is 'psuche' from which we get the word psyche, which is the mind, the SOUL. Jesus said His purpose in coming was that we may have LIFE, Zoe or Spirit Life! He did NOT come to give us 'psuche', or SOUL life! THAT is the life (psuche) that was crucified with Him!

God is raising up a people whose Life originates from the SPIRIT, the Holy of Holies; those who are receiving the mind, will and emotions of Jesus Christ. This is a life where the SOUL is operating in submission and harmony with the SPIRIT. This is a Tabernacle with no SOULISH veil to hide the glory- the nature of God from manifesting. As this happens, I believe we will see the fulfillment of Is.60:2-5 "...but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising... the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee."

Let us not lose sight of God's PURPOSE in restoring the Davidic Tabernacle, which is to embody Himself in a people, and through that people to gather the nations to Himself. This is simply the fulfillment of the Father's prophetic decree in Gen.1:27-28 "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Have You Earned the Right to Speak?

Undrai Fizer

When you discover "real ministry," it will initiate a season of stretching and molding, such as you have never faced in life before. It will activate areas of thought in you that "you never knew existed." It will flow down to the "marrow"of your soul and expose what you thought was defeated.

To be called and commissioned (confirmed and sent forth in authority) in a certain area of ministry will cause you to be moved in areas of life and commitment that goes beyond the confines of your power and mindset. When you see that God is taking you farther, be careful not to "unyoke"yourself from His vision and purpose.

Sometimes, we create a season of trying to ponder and accept what God is actually saying to us. His call is always seemingly glamorous, challenging and exciting. But, when you experience the actual "taste of the cup," it can send you back to denial and feeling as though you "missed it, somehow."

You did not "miss it." You just discovered that this life will require more from you than seeking respect from spiritual peers and admiration. You have found out that you will have to earn the right to speak. You will have to master the process of moving into the realm of God past your comfort and fears.

You will have to master the lifestyle of tangible belief in His Word. Do not hide behind the years of pondering His word, or whether to "step out" or not. That feeling or vision that was birth in all of it's majesty was the real thing. But, your maturing process and development of a voice, must be tried, rejected, and earned!

Your "voice" must be one of faith and endurance. Commitment to the end of the process, and not of continual murmuring and threatenings to quit. Your "voice" must be of those who have embraced the destiny of God beyond the feelings of others. Your "voice" must be one that produces confidence in the pursuit of God, and not the duplication of another's process. Your "voice" must be one of a person who knows their God, not another's.

The maturing process of gaining your "voice" must got beyond the right to preach in a service. There are those who preach, and yet have no "voice" or message. Your "voice" should serve as the voice of the Kingdom's ministry. There are those who have not been given the right to speak in the "churches" of our day or recognized as the "who's who" in ministry by the masses.

But yet, they have earned the right to speak for the kingdom. The enemy knows their name and their effect in this society. Just as he recognized the voice of Paul and Jesus over the voices of the sons of Sceva, he knows them who are still unknown to the masses.

But known to God.

Have you found your voice?

The Five Dimensions of Christ's Leadership

by Jim Hodges

There is a lot of talk and much printed material coming out these days concerning leadership in the church. The excellent books by George Barna, John Maxwell, and others, in addition to a number of leadership journals, inform and challenge us.

My purpose in this article is to go back to what I consider to be the foundation issue of church leadership, i.e., that it must be patterned after the model of Christ's leadership we find in Ephesians 4:11. (I can just hear several saying: Oh, here we go again back to that familiar verse!").

Yes, it is true that if somehow Ephesians 4:11 dropped out of the Epistle, I would have to turn in my ordination papers and discontinue teaching the Bible!

Before I proceed to talk about these five dimensions of His leadership in His Church, I want to go back one step farther and share with you what I have recently discovered about the prevailingness of "Five-Fold" in the entire Epistle.

This began unfolding as I was reading Ephesians on the plane a while back. If there is something wrong with my "revelation" here, blame it on the turbulence of that flight!

After I go through this repetitive pattern in Ephesians, I will share why I strongly believe it is significant and meaningful for your leadership ministry and for the future of the Church at large.

The Five-Fold Revelation in Ephesians

There are five presentations of The Church in the Epistle.
The Church is:

  1. family of the Eternal Father--1:5;
  2. body of the Eternal Son--1:22;
  3. temple of the Holy Spirit--2:21;
  4. bride of Christ--5:27; and
  5. army of God--6:11.

Christ is exalted in His ascension over five entities listed in 1:21--

  1. rule;
  2. authority;
  3. power;
  4. dominion; and
  5. every name in this age and the age to come.

In Chapter One, we observe that the Eternal Father took five sovereign actions toward us:

  1. He blessed us in Christ;
  2. He chose us in Christ;
  3. He predestined our sonship through Christ;
  4. He lavished us with redemption in Christ; and
  5. He disclosed to us the mystery of His will in Christ.

In Chapter Two (2:12), we see covenantal death expressed in five ways:

  1. separated from Christ;
  2. excluded from Israel;
  3. estranged from the covenants of promise;
  4. hopeless; and
  5. godless.

In Chapter Five, we see Christ relating to His bride in five ways:

  1. as Head;
  2. as Savior;
  3. as Lover;
  4. as Sanctifier; and
  5. as Presenter.

In Chapter Six, we see that the church's warfare is against one enemy referred to in five ways:

  1. devil;
  2. rulers;
  3. powers;
  4. world forces of darkness; and
  5. wicked spirits in high places.

Also in Chapter Six, we see that the believer's armor in battle is five-fold:

  1. belt of truth;
  2. breastplate of righteousness;
  3. shield of faith;
  4. shoes of peace; and
  5. helmet of salvation.

We also have one offensive weapon in the battle and that, of course, is the Word (rhema) of God which is referred to as the sword of the Spirit.

What Meaneth The Five?

There is more of this kind of structure and pattern in the Epistle, but what is the point of all this? I am glad you asked! I believe the point is that each local church should be in the process of becoming a "5" in its leadership and in its ministry.

A particular local church may be a strong evangelistic church, but it must seek to become five-fold in order to become all that the Lord intends. Another local church may be strong prophetically, but have a deficiency in its teaching ministry. It, too, should seek to become five-fold.

It is not just the Body at-large that is to be five-fold, it is each local church! All that the Lord Jesus is in His five-fold leadership must flow through His Church!

Additionally, I believe the significance of the prevailing five-fold pattern in Ephesians points to the revelation of covenant. Five is the number for grace and for covenant.

In fact, the structure of all God-man covenants in Scripture (Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, and the New Covenant through the Lord Jesus) are five-fold and all these are of divine grace! (I have taught on the five components of Bible covenant structure a number of times. If you need updating, let me know and I will send you the teaching).

We simply cannot miss the point here--leadership in the church and the ministry of each local church is to be rooted in the revelation and experience of covenant!

This is certainly expressed in heaven where the ministry of Jesus as our Apostle and High Priest (Hebrews 3:1) is released in the context of His covenant relationship with the Father.

As High Priest, He is interceding for His Church--that is His ministry. As Apostle, He is leading His Church--that is His government. We have learned already from Ephesians that His government-leadership in His Church is five-fold.

To say it another way: at the throne in heaven there are the following realities: (1) covenant relationship; (2) ministry of intercession; and (3) spiritual government.

What is true in heaven is to be reflected on earth! Those called to lead the church, i.e., five-fold ministries, are to walk together in covenant relationship.

For example, pastors and evangelists must connect covenantally. So must prophets and teachers. So must translocal apostolic teams with local church leaders. Connection on every level of leadership is what leaders need and what local churches need!

On the day of Pentecost, Peter stood up with the eleven (Acts 2:14). That is a dramatic picture of what we need to see more of in today's church--leaders standing together in covenantal relationship and ministry.

Any of those twelve could have preached that day. But the eleven who did not were supporting Peter who did! Represented in those twelve was Apostle Jesus, Prophet Jesus, Teacher Jesus, Pastor Jesus, and Evangelist Jesus.

Saints, when we come into divine order, we will be a 5!

Mirror My Glory

Ras Robinson

I am looking for those who will open their faces wide to me that I may see My glory coming back to Me. When you open your face to Me, I see gold and I see silver.

You are My gold and silver and I have been polishing you, through the trials, circumstances and even through the sufferings you have experienced, for such a time as this.

My glory is about to be spread throughout all the earth and you are part of My plan. As suffering, pestilence, wars and rumors of wars occur, there, alongside all the devastation throughout the world, will be My glory through those just like you. These two, glory and devastation, will exist side by side. I will not forsake nor leave you even in times when it may seem to you that I am far away.

Now, listen to Me, and remember this for the hour soon to come, I am looking for My glory in your face and upon you. But I am also going to keep you in the presence of My glory through letting you see Me and My glory clearly in the faces of those like you that I am calling in this hour.

But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Come away to the secret place. Even as your heart beats and your breath is drawn, I sense your need to come away with Me. Yet even I desire to meet you at the secret place that I have shown you. It is there that we will convene together in the midst of the storm and strong winds I have spoken of that will come very soon. Even as Moses hid in the cleft of the Rock, I advise you to hide in the secret place of My Son. From that vantage point, you will observe the winds, thunder and lightening and all the rest that will taking place around you. You will be protected.

Fear not little flock; for it has given Me pleasure to give unto you the kingdom. It is a good thing that you have chosen to retreat into the strong tower, the secret place, and there to find safety. It pleases Me that you think of coming to Me. Your heart is turned toward Me. I desire to see you, to speak with you and just to bask in your presence, even as you desire My presence. Come away to the secret place. (Psalm 32:7 "Thou art my hiding place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance." Psalm 119:114 "Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Thy word.")

Don't Stop the Revealers

By Jacquelyn Fedor

In these end times, knowledge is being released that was not understood in the ages past. It has always been this way. God makes known what is prevalent and necessary for each age through prophecy (wisdom). He then shines His light (understanding) on the scriptures to prove that the prophecies that are coming forth are so.

All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world. Matt 13:34-35

The danger we face today as Jesus speaks through His prophets, is that we try to interpret what God is saying and twist the truth God is revealing to fit our own doctrines and traditions. Somehow our pet doctrines and the way we have always done things is more important than God. I say it that way because God is truth, and to reject truth is to reject God! We can not reject the things kept secret because it sounds strange, or feels strange. It may be a truth that we have not been introduced to yet.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began, but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith-- Rom 16:25-26

We must not only hear revelation as released, but obediently walk that truth out in our daily lives. We can't be old wineskins that can't change. We know from the book of Daniel that there will be truth revealed in the end times that will carry us into eternity. Truths that will not only save our spirits and souls, but will result in our bodies being glorified as we feast on this revelation.

The church of Sardis is dead on the street, as a result of her corruption, complacency, lack of love, compromise and luke-warm attitude towards new revelation. It takes our precious time to interact with the Holy Spirit in study to see in scripture if the new things that are being released are really so.

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. If we want to be one of those awakened from from the church of Sardis and pulled out of the dust of carnal intellect, we must feast on the Lamb (truth). Acts 17:11

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." Dan 12:2-4
And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." Dan 12:9-10
The end of the age is now, and, through those God chooses to use, the contents of the seals are being revealed. This is not a new thing. The Apostle Paul explained to the converts at Corinth that he spoke a hidden wisdom, a mystery, ordained before time to be released for his age. He said the Spirit of God revealed it for them for their time and their edification.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Cor 2:7-8
We see Paul at Ephesus saying the same thing. The mystery of the cross was made plain to him so that he could share it with others. Since he was an educated Pharisee before the Lord chose him, we can see he truly was one chosen by God to preach a message very different from the commonly accepted doctrine of the time.
how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: Eph 3:3-5
Truth will be revealed in this age and once again, because mankind does not have an understanding, or they never been introduced to these truths, they will call it false doctrine. But this truth is not from books written by men, or taught by man, it is revealed so we can begin to comprehend the fullness of Christ through the revealers of today by the Spirit of God.
But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. Gal 1:11-12
John one tells us that the Word was with God and the Word was God, so God is truth. Prophecy is truth, or God revealed as sung or spoken through people. We could say it this way: prophecy is God spoken into our hearts. It is in our hearts that the kingdom of God is established and introduced.
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:20-21
In closing I would like to make this point. We don't have all the keys yet, or we would be glorified and the Kingdom of God would be reigning. Till all this is accomplished, we must hear the voice of God through His revealers. They are the modern Moses, Deborah, David, Paul, Martin Luther, etc. Remember, each age has its own, and this age is no different. Let us not be like the people in the time of Jesus.
"Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered." Luke 11:52
I print this scripture for those that are in a position to stop truth from reaching God's remnant people. I speak to everyone in leadership positions. Be very careful, because God's people will die if they lack knowledge. And people of God, please don't reject truth just because you haven't developed a taste for Lamb. The Lamb is the Spirit of truth. Revelation has always been as a baffling wind to the religious community with mind sets. They are not even meant to understand. It is for the wise that can shake off the dust of tradition to be a part in God's end time army. These open-hearted ones will understand things that the prophets of old did not know, for it was not for their time. It was to be revealed in the last days.
And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in arables?" Matt 13:10
But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. And He said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables. Mark 4:10-11
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Cor 2:10-12

Sober Warriors

by Debra Westbrook

As I awoke the Lord brought this phrase to mind "Sober Warriors". Then I read this verse:

But they also have erred through wine. And through intoxicating drink are out of the way. The priest and prophet have erred through intoxicating drink. They are swallowed up by wine, They are out of the way through intoxicating drink; They err in vision, they stumble in judgement. Isaiah 28:7

God is calling forth "Sober Warriors" in these times. Through this verse, we find out that God's leaders had made an alliance with Egypt. They were trusting in horses and chariots instead of looking to the Holy One of Israel to lead them forth in victory. They were told repeatedly to trust in the Holy One of Israel, but consistently compromised, seeking alliances with foreign nations and such, believing that this would bring peace.

With a false hope and a false confidence because of these alliances, they engaged in fleshly indulgences through drunkenness which zapped their discernment and true spiritual perception. Many of us are doing that today. We are called to be sober which means to be of sound mind, alert, watchful. We are called to avoid any alliances that cater to our flesh which can lead to apathy, complacency, and spiritual dullness. This can lead to crying out peace peace when there really is no peace, but increased violence in the land.

Many have abandoned their positions of watchfulness and have succumbed to a false confidence that an administration, an economy, a financial system, or even a prospering ministry is establishing us in peace and prosperity. In many cases, we have taken our focus off of the Holy One of Israel. Like these prophets and priests, we have succumbed to spiritual inebriation which has become a breeding ground for compromise.

God is calling forth for sober warriors that will sound forth the trumpet without hidden agendas or false alliances for the sake of personal gain. We are being called forth to come forth, separated from man's wisdom and man's ways, into a walk where we are uncompromised in speaking forth what is being spoken to us from the heart of God.

When we walk uncompromised and unaffected by an alliance with Egypt and place our trust in our God, we will walk in greater spiritual authority, advancing the Kingdom with violent force against demonic opposition. We must be in the world, but not of the world. We must break all alliances that breed a false hope and false confidence in a system and once again return to the Lord.

We must not become spiritually inebriated, lacking discernment, but must maintain a position of watchfulness, not selling out to anything or anyone, not walking in compromise. There must be no compromise on our parts. A standard of absolute truth must be proclaimed absolutely so that the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our God and His Christ and He shall reign.

Wake up! We are in a war and violence is escalating in the land. But, as the kingdom suffers violence, the violent take it by force. Maintain a position of watchfulness. Be alert in prayer.

1 Peter 4:7
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers.

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
