Stand in Liberty

My Dear Ones, submit to Me and live ... I Am the Father of your spirit. It is I who disciplines producing your harvest of righteousness and peace. Endure hardship as discipline My Dear Ones.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms of praise and your weak knees of prayer. Walk My Dear Ones on My level path, so that the lame around you may not be disabled but rather healed. I have placed within your reach My touch of healing ... Go Forth into the darkness with my light which has been made stronger in you from the discipline of Spirit touching spirit.

Now My Beloved ... I Am that Spirit and where I Am there is liberty! My Dear Ones ... Stand in Liberty !!!

False Apostles

Roger Taylor

There are three signs that I think should set off warning bells about anyone (apostle or whatever they might claim to be) who wants to start trying to tell you how to do things.

  1. He quotes scripture (usually out of context) to try to bring you under guilt/condemnation for not submitting to his control.
  2. He expresses great love and concern for you, but warns you of dire consequences if you don't agree with him.
  3. He claims special "revelation" to back up his desire to run things.

All of these are RED flags.

Any true apostle is there to SERVE in any way they can. They are usually much too busy working to establish the kingdom on specific assignment to be involved in telling people how to run their life or ministry. Also, they don't go around trying to collect sheep.

Do Not Fear

Ras Robinson

Do not fear coming to me. Do not fear getting close to others of your brothers and sisters. At times you fear coming into my presence. This is because my ways are not your ways. My way is the way of love and acceptance. And I want you close to me and close to those of mine. Do you remember that time I gave you the dream of you and others coming down off your personal mountains of significance and coming to my feet? Do you recall what happened in that dream, how the closer you got to me, the closer you came to one another? I can do so much more with and through you when you are in unity and fellowship with those whom I have called to myself. As you come to me you will find than any fear of gathering with and connecting with others will fade away. I want you to see me in all things, to see me in your brothers and sisters. I have already made you one by my Spirit. But you must be willing to maintain and build upon that unity. Coming to my mountain should not frighten you. One day you will be on Mountain Zion, the city of the living God, with me. Do not fear coming to me and getting close to your brothers and sisters. My love makes it possible.

God's Dream House

Larry Taylor

Everyone has a dream house. The one you would build if money was no object. The finest cabinets and fixtures; that certain type of counter top; hardwood floors, ceramic tile, faux finish walls, ceiling fans in every room; Jacuzzi tub, brick, stone, logs; the list could go on and on. Personally, I want those Canadian toilets that really work. I'm sure you've given your dream house some thought even if you aren't planning on ever seeing it built.

God is building His dream house. You are it. The amazing thing is that He is leaving the decisions to us. What do you want to include in His house? Remember; you have to live with the decisions a long time. Are you a little skeptical? Read with me 1 Corinthians 3:9-17:

"For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

You can use the junk or the good stuff. You can have the pure and eternal things that come from His Spirit, or you can have the stuff that's going to burn up as soon as the heat is turned on. Isn't it amazing that He has left it up to us?

Here are some choices: His character, His words, His thoughts, His visions, His power, His actions. Or...men's cheap imitations. They look good, they just don't last. They won't stand up to the test of time. Our wisdom, our words, our thoughts, our plans, our strength. They may look bright and shiny for a while and all our friends may "ooo and ahhh" over our choices but the flaws and lack of quality begin to show almost immediately. The problem is, you are the one that has to live for eternity with your choices. WE ARE DESTINED FOR HIS GLORY, LET'S ONLY BUILD WITH WHAT FLOWS OUT OF HIS GLORY!

...And I will glorify the house of My glory. Is. 60:7b

Contaminated Touches

Meri Burlingame

Where the "line" is between the principle of "separation" and "discernment" and not laying ourselves open to every spirit that is running around loose in the body of Christ is.....I wouldn't begin to address. But because every principle must be "applied" with wisdom and discretion and are often misapplied based on human desires and lusts, it doesn't negate the principle. But rather hopefully encourages us to seek out what the Spirit is saying and how it is fulfilled within the law of Liberty in Christ Jesus...which is the "law of love."

Back in the 70's there was a man that did a series of intensives conferences around the world. I found myself recoiling when I heard the man's name or reference to any of the numerous principles that people brought home from his meetings. Time and time again, people would "hit me over the head" with those principles as they sought to apply them according to their own wisdom and knowledge rather than after the leading and wisdom of the Spirit.

When pastors started using pages out of the conference notebooks for the outline of their sermons and those pages put up as overheads....I really got my "fill" of those teachings and the man's name....but a day came when I had to repent....because I was given one of the notebooks, and began to see what was really taught, to see the context in which the principle had been preached and saw that they required by their nature the insight and application by the Holy Spirit....not by our flesh, not by the knowledge of good and evil.

I have gained a great respect for the principles that came to me from a variety of directions and often taught out of context...but none the less taught. They truly helped lay a foundation for relationships later in my life as I began to "receive" them through the Spirit's teaching. I repented of criticizing the principle and the teacher......having myself "missed the mark" of hearing and seeing what the Spirit was seeking to teach me.......

May we grow in the wisdom and knowledge that HE IS as the Spirit reveals Him to us.
