FREEDOM

by Debbie Cossu

Job 28:11; "He tunnels through the rock; his eyes see all its treasures. He searches the sources of the rivers, and brings hidden things to light."

I am about to pour down upon My own a double anointing. The name of this downpour is "FREEDOM". The resulting waves shall be called "Released", "Liberty", "Joy", and "Fellowship." I am doing a marvelous thing in your midst, individually and corporately.

The rain is penetrating the hiding places and will cause a blending of all streams and waters into the ocean of My love. Walls of isolation and bitterness and preservation and hostility are being removed all at once. There has been enough pressure, enough fire, enough time to accomplish My purpose.

I come to dig you out and set you in the place prepared and waiting for you. The polishing and refining of that which has occurred in secret shall be accomplished in My house without walls now being formed.

Yes it was not just your own idea, or efforts of the enemy that have kept things hidden. This season was necessary for you to be with Me, and even at times apart from Me. Now you can embrace what I have prepared, and one another in spirit and truth.

As you respond to my call to come forth, as Liberty resounds thorough land and sky and sea, the sound of mighty rushing waters will spring forth. Where there was just once a trickle of life, now abundant life shall be enjoyed. Small creeks and wide canals, gentle brooks, and cascading waterfalls, fresh and salt water alike shall come together and form a river of love that will grant life wherever it flows.

Psalm 42:7,8
"As deep calls to deep in the roar of the waterfalls, all your waves and breakers have swept over me."

Listen for the Roar

Cheryl McGrath

Listen! can you hear it? Does it sound like thunder to you? For the mighty and terrible Lion of the Tribe of Judah has roused Himself and begins to roar. To some it is like a distant rumbling too far off to be of any substance. To others it comes as an unrecognisable sound and one they have never heard or imagined could come from the Beloved Lamb.

"But to those who know Me, says the Lord, My roar arises and resounds throughout their inner hearts. The sound of My roar resonates with bittersweet impact through their spirits, bodies and minds. It is a sound of comfort to those who are Mine, but to those who contend with Me it will strike terror and panic.

For there is coming to My people a holy fear of Me, such as has not been witnessed for many generations. Beware the Lion's roar! For I am both a God of grace and a God of holiness, says the Lord. No longer will I contend with the flesh of man. If you are Mine, then I call you to a separation, a sanctification and a yielding to My Spirit of Burning within your souls. Don't hold back from Me any longer, My people. Yield to the purging of My Spirit and My holy Sword.

Oh, for I love you with an everlasting love, My children! Don't attempt to confine Me within the limits you have set for Me in your lives any longer. You are about to see and hear Me as you have not known Me before. And I will breathe upon you a holy, cleansing fire that will purge you of all that is not Mine in you. You are about to know what it is to fear the Lord, not that you will be afraid of Me, but that you will truly know Me in my holiness and absolute authority. It is time for Me to reveal Myself to My children as the Lion of Judah. So listen now! Lift up your ears for My roar, My little ones, and be not afraid, but be careful! I call you to holiness!"

FROGS

Mary Clark

Tonight during intercession, the Lord spoke the word, "frogs" to me. What did you want to tell us about frogs, Lord?

Exodus 8:1-4: "Then the Lord said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh and say to him, Thus says the Lord, Let My people go, that they may serve Me. And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite your entire land with frogs; And the river shall swarm with frogs which shall go up and come into your house, into your bed chamber and on your bed, and into the houses of your servants and upon your people; and into your ovens, your kneading bowls and your dough. And the frogs shall come up on you, and on your people and your servants".

"I placed My servant Moses in a very strategic location. I knew before he was born the road he would travel. I put My words in his mouth and enabled him to proclaim My wishes.

In these days, I am raising up men and women who will walk a prepared path without stumbling. I, by My Spirit, am raising up men and women to proclaim My truth far and wide.

The day will come when My chosen vessels will repeat words of old to heads of state in My name. They will go forth and pronounce My judgments on vast areas of the earth.

Yes! I tell you this night, that I am raising up men and women to speak on My behalf and do mighty deeds on My behalf.

Yes! I am calling them forth as I speak to My servant. This is the generation that will walk undaunted into the line of the enemy's fire. This is the generation that will seek the living God and His ways with a whole heart and will proclaim His words to all in their hearing. I am calling forth at this hour a generation of prophetic voices that will go forth unannounced into areas that I have foreordained for their feet. They will speak My judgments and they will see the results of their words proclaimed in living color. They will see all that I give them to speak come forth, and they will walk undaunted by the enemy's plans.

I am the living God. I speak only truth. My chosen vessels will speak only My truth, walk only in My truth, and see only My truth come to pass in their wake. I am calling them forth. I am calling them forth and enabling them to go forth in the power and strength of their Master. This is the hour for the great calling forth. Listen for My call. Again I say, listen for My call!!!

THE KINGDOM PEOPLE

Ron McGatlin

Who are the people of God that are crossing over into the promised land of the kingdom of heaven on earth? What are they like and what is their church and lifestyle like? Who are these people who are actively waiting upon the kingdom of God and listening for the sound of His voice -- these who will not move without the direction of the voice of their God?

They are those who move in unison together as a mighty army -- an army that remains in rank and file and never oversteps or sidesteps the will of their God. A mighty army of "ordinary" believers filled with an extraordinary obsession for God -- those obsessed beyond all reason with the very love of their God. Those in whom there remains no place for the devil to lay his hand or attach his hooks. A people without the religious bondages and prideful self righteousness of the past church age. A people who do not care any more about things that were once important but cares with their whole heart and life about the things of their God. A people who are dangerous because of their simple and real love that flows into and through them to the world. A people who forever will cling to the promises of their God and gladly give their lives to be in His presence and to serve Him with all their heart and strength.

These are the people of God coming forth into our world. They are the rulers, the workers, the teachers, the moms and dads, the soldiers from five star generals to buck privates who are one and the same unto their God. They will not rule as lord over one another but will serve one another as Lord. They are the scientist, the plumbers, the builders, and the farmers, they are the worshipers of God doing the work of God on earth. Anointed by His Spirit and filled with undeniable power and strength to do all the will of God.

The sons of the kingdom are with us now and shall continue to grow in numbers as the mighty revival of God planted by the fathers of our past and bathed in the blood of martyrs to our Lord shall cover the earth. From ocean to ocean and from mountain to mountain there shall be none who do not know of the glory of our Lord. The beginning is past and the work lies ahead of us and anyone having put their hand to this plow shall not turn back. The plowing must continue but the planting has already begun. The mighty revival of the presence and power of God shall sweep the whole earth and the planet and all of its people shall never be the same again. The harvest is upon us and shall not be stopped. At the same time the plower is plowing and the sower is sowing and the harvester is harvesting. (Amos 9:13)

What are these people like? They are like Christ Jesus. They are in fact those in whom Christ dwells bringing forth different aspects of His very life in different individuals - the possessors of differing parts of Christ who all coming together to form the whole body of Christ covering the earth. They are the risen Christ dwelling on earth to rule and reign as priest and kings. They are the physical embodiment of the glory of God. The "Christ in you the hope of glory" has become Christ living in many by the Spirit of Christ the manifest presence of the glory of God.

No earthly government or institution shall rule over the glory of God. The kingdom people will be led by Spirit appointed elders in local groups. The elders will be the loving authority to govern the local people of God. No longer will the church be a building made with hands. The local church will meet from day to day in houses or business places or great outdoor stadiums or wherever. Some elders will be gifted pastors tending the sheep. Others will be gifted teachers teaching the children young and old. And others will be evangelist reaching out to the local community harvesting their part of the world.

The apostolic government of God will be fluid and mobile. The powerfully gifted apostles and prophets will move from place to place bringing the wisdom and specific word of God for every need and in every situation. There will no longer be a "headquarters". The "quarters of the head" are in heaven and not on earth. God's chosen servant leaders will look toward the true headquarters in heaven and receive their direction for governing from the Spirit of Christ.

The apostles will receive direction for the over all body and the governing of the overall church will be in them. The prophet will receive the word for more specific an personal direction and correction.

The local elders will receive direction for the local group of believers and will know how to pastor, teach, and evangelize their areas. The elders will know which apostles to call for and when to call for them to come and bring light and government to their group. The apostles will have direction from God in agreement to go where the elders call them. If the elders should falter and need help, an apostle and/or prophet will be sent by God to bring authority and recovery to the situation.

Discerning Other Voices

Bryan Hupperts

Can God speak through vessels that do not know Him? Consider Paul's use of pagan Greek poets in his messages and preaching. A classic example is found in Acts 17:28, "For `In Him we live and move and have our being,' as also some of your own poets have said, `For we are also His offspring.'"

`In Him we live and move and have our being,' is a quote taken from the Greek poet Epimenides (600 BC) from his work Cretica. `For we are also His offspring.' Is attributed to both the Cecilian poet Aratus in Phaenomena and also to Cleanthes in his work Hymn to Zeus.

Woah! Doesn't 2 Timothy 3:16 say, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God?" These Zeus worshipping pagan poets were actually being used as vessels of the Lord to speak Truth into their culture – yet they didn't personally honor Christ as Lord? How can this be?

The Apostle Paul evidently knew the popular culture of his day. In 1 Corinthians 15:33, he quotes from the Greek Comedy Thais by Meander, "Evil company corrupts good habits."

And here's the kicker. Paul was writing to Titus about a church plant in Crete that was evidently every pastor's darkest nightmare come true. "To Cretanize" was an expression that meant to lie, and this was their national character and reputation. Again, Paul quotes Epimenides in Titus 1:12, "One of them, a prophet of their own, said, `Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.'" Paul called this pagan poet a `prophet of their own,' affirming that what this pagan poet spoke was the brutal Truth. If we understand a prophet to be someone who traffics in speaking the Truth, then we have a theological conundrum to address.

Paul understood that throughout human history God will raise up someone to speak for Him, to point society back to Him and to the obedience of their consciences. Even today, there are pagan poets who work in pop music and film who are speaking God's Truth for the world to hear. For instance, when the movie "Forrest Gump" came out, I understood that a call to humility before God was being portrayed to the world. When "Titanic" – immorality and all – was flashing across theater screens, I kept thinking, "Wake up, America! This is a symbolic warning for you to heed! We're not an unsinkable society."

Is every voice making a claim speaking for God? No, certainly not. There are times when God's people will not speak for Him that He will raise up a stranger who will. Yet when you hear that unmistakable ring of truth, know that God is behind the scenes speaking Truth into the hearts of people laying a foundation to win them to Himself.

I have a print by a painter named John William Waterhouse entitled "Miranda and the Tempest," hanging in my living room. It is a stunning portrayal of a beautiful woman seated on a Rock, watching as a ship is being broken up and sinking. What a stunning picture of the church being seated with Christ (the Rock) in heavenly places – and by all accounts, Mr. Waterhouse was anything but a Christian. I cannot tell you the number of souls I have been able to share Jesus with using this haunting, lucid painting as a conversation starter. It is a picture embodying profound eternal Truth.

Take one more leap forward and it's easy to see that God will not only speak through pagan poets, but he'll raise up saints decked out in the world's clothing to speak Living Truth to the world in a way they can receive it. C.S. Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia" have provided the backdrop for the conversion of many modern saints. There is enough Truth embedded about God in those pages to awaken even a dead heart to begin to seek for Truth. The church needs artists to go forth into the world painting, speaking, singing, writing, dancing and creating – expressing God's Truth.

If the Apostle Paul were alive today, I am confident he would pen his Epistle to the Americans saying, "As one of their own poets, Mulder, has said, `The truth is out there,' and again, `I want to believe.'"

The Reflection Of Christ

Mark Kaphaem

We all have many mirrors that we look into daily.

There is the mirror of societal norms,
The mirror of expectations,
The mirror of tradition,
The mirror of acceptance,
The mirror of comparison,
The mirror of success

The reflection from these mirrors defines how we see ourselves, how we measure ourselves. The reflections also often determine our actions and makes up our goals and dreams in this life.

Now you see through a mirror dimly. If your desire is to see yourself clearly in the reflection of Christ leave these mirrors behind. Do not look to them for vision. Do not allow them to shape your life.

The Lord is coming to us in this time. He is setting His mirror in front of us. Do not turn away. Allow His reflection to burn the others away. Allow His gaze to break through these other mirrors. For with these mirrors the curse comes by leaving them stand, not by breaking them.

Do not turn away in this time. To turn away is to be overcome with shame and condemnation. To turn away is blindness and loss of hope. There is time, turn your gaze intently into the eyes of Christ. Come fully into His light. It is only here that you will truly see yourself and receive the hope and vision you need to carry you through this time.

May the Lord grant you courage as you seek Him.

Evangelism: Spiritually Worthy

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "Which," He said, "you have heard from Me."
--Acts 1:4

The task of the church is twofold: to spread Christianity throughout the world and to make sure that the Christianity she spreads is the pure New Testament kind....

Christianity will always reproduce itself after its kind. A worldly- minded, unspiritual church, when she crosses the ocean to give her witness to peoples of other tongues and other cultures, is sure to bring forth on other shores a Christianity much like her own....

The popular notion that the first obligation of the church is to spread the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth is false. Her first obligation is to be spiritually worthy to spread it. Our Lord said "Go ye," but He also said, "Tarry ye," and the tarrying had to come before the going. Had the disciples gone forth as missionaries before the day of Pentecost it would have been an overwhelming spiritual disaster, for they could have done no more than make converts after their likeness, and this would have altered for the worse the whole history of the Western world and had consequences throughout the ages to come. Of God and Men, 35-37.

"Lord, I don't want to be guilty of producing inferior disciples. Send Your Holy Spirit that I might be empowered to produce converts with whom You can be pleased. Amen."

REVIVAL PRAYING

* Do not expect God to revive us without cleansing us (Ps. 51:2,10).

* Do not expect God to come to us in revival without our going to Him in repentance (Jer. 4:1).

* Do not expect God to reward us with revival for our much praying. Revival is not a reward but rather an expression of His own character (Ps. 23:3).

* Do not expect God to send revival only during a week of revival services (John 4:35).

* Do not expect God to use only preachers or evangelists to spark revival. He uses whomever He pleases (Joel 2:28).

* Do not expect God to do only the things we ask. His plans far exceed our normal way of thinking (Isa. 55:8-9).

* Do not expect God to send revival to others without first touching you (Isa. 6:5-7).

* Do not expect God to work revival without involving you in the work (Isa. 6:8).

* Do not expect God to send a revival until He can trust the church with the results (Matt. 25:14- 29).

* Do not expect God to send revival if you have already decided to return to your former way of living as soon as it is over (Rev. 2:4-5).

* Do not expect God to send revival at no cost to us (2 Tim. 3:12).
