True Prophecy

Becky McLendon

I am finding it interesting how the nature of my writings has changed. I used to be able to "crank" out prophecies right and left..all about what God was ABOUT to do and all about the GLORY and the RIVER and the LATTER RAIN etc. Those have essentially stopped coming to me. At one time I had heard in my spirit the last verses of 1 Cor. 13, that "tongues and prophecy will cease" WHEN the perfect comes. This was about three years ago. It appears that the "need" to use tongues and prophecy (tongues and interpretations, and the "gift of prophecy") has lessened, because the perfect is come . This is NOT to say that I have become perfect, in the sense of "perfection" as we see it in the natural. Nor have you or any other of God's children. But to take the word "PERFECT" in its true context of meaning, TELIOS, perfect means MATURE, RIPE, READY FOR PLUCKING, COMPLETE, ESTABLISHED i.e. having received your Inheritance, having God established on His throne inside you.

Paul, in his time of separation in the wilderness arrived at such "PERFECTION". Without the PERFECTION (the wisdom, understanding, counsel and might, and fear of the Lord) he could not begin to impart the revelation God had given him. NOR can WE impart what God has revealed without such a PERFECTION. When perfection is established in us, the need for tongues, interpretations, and prophetic utterances lessens greatly. Why is this? Because He is speaking directly TO us and through us.

Words of wisdom, the forthtelling of the word of God, do not look like prophecy, because the wording is not the same, "Yea, yea yea, thus saith the Lord, etc?" However, Words of Wisdom contain within them prophecy that reaches through the veil that covers our eyes and grabs our heart and does corrective surgery. Prophecy is the voice of Wisdom that cries in the streets. Prophecy is the grace of GOD reaching His people, the ones who "hear His voice" and follow.

I believe the Lord is bringing His church to the place of imparting and receiving this kind of prophecy. The kind that changes lives and events of a larger scale than we have ever imagined. Blinders are coming off at a rapid pace now, for the PERFECT is come. Now I can imagine folks running around saying "Becky says the Lord has come"..NO! Do you see Him? Certainly not. That is yet to be. But I can say that He has come to His own to set up His throne in them. Have you received Him yet? Not talking about the salvation experience here. Have you RECEIVED Him yet? This is a key issue. We can be "born again" and never RECEIVE Him. Oh what a blessing to miss! Remember, John the Baptist preached "The Kingdom of God is at hand!" It is NOW, not relegated to some future time in the sweet bye and bye. Religion hates this message, because once the "flock" RECEIVES Him now, they are truly FREE. For "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." Religion has no more hold on them. Religion seeks to kill and destroy this message, and those who bring it.

Let us all earnestly desire to receive Christ FULLY into our temple, giving Him freedom to set up habitation there. It will change our lives forever AND the lives of all those around us. Amen.

A Great Peeling Away

"Prepare to see a great 'peeling away'.
Flesh will fall off.
Religion will peel off.
Wisdom WILL have HER way in those who hear.
Justice will REIGN.
The coup d'etat is beginning.
All of history has WAITED for this time.
My saints here have asked of Me 'HOW LONG O LORD...?'
I say 'IT IS UPON YOU
IT IS UPON YOU.'
Watch as My heavens open,
for you to SEE;
for you to HEAR.
What you will SEE and HEAR will make all other that you have seen and heard seem like a shadow.
For THIS IS THAT which the prophets spoke of...
THIS IS THAT which I have spoken of."
AMEN

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
Mary Koons Wattenford

For the last few nights while in prayer, I have seen in the Spirit a "large" gold plated, old style keyhole and known that I was to "peek" through it. Each time - what I have seen is reminiscent to me of "Alice in Wonderland, for directly in front of my view is a woman, who is wearing a crown.. and who is "A QUEEN." She isn't dressed however, in "royal clothing," but INSTEAD has over her [as a placard] a large "playing card" - the "eight of hearts." She is saying, "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!" every time I've "peeked through the keyhole." Off to the right, is the "MAD HATTER" only instead of being a rabbit - what I see resembles more *JACK* of "JACK IN THE BOX" fast food fame. The styrofoam round head, long carrot type nose - BUT wearing a tall stove-top hat.

Well, seeing something like this "once" - I was more than "tempted" to equate it to "BAD PIZZA!" but to see it several nights in a row? Always this rather "bizarre" conglomeration of characters - and always with this "Alice in Wonderland" type theme and feel to it? Tonight I asked the Lord, just "what" all of this was representative of… and He said:

This "queen" is the false queen - apostasy. She, like Jezebel, wants to "ANNILATE" those who are serving Me out of their LOVE FOR ME to "destroy" the true prophets of the land so that her "false prophets" can go forth. The "queen" wears the eight of hearts. [Eight means new beginnings. Hearts - would represent "love"] Yet, this "QUEEN" does not "reign" in love - but in pride. You have heard her say "ONLY" one thing.. "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!" each time you have seen her. Who would do such a thing while wearing "hearts?" Who considers herself royalty and "wraps itself in what it terms LOVE" but says, "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS?"

The "Mad Hatter" that you are so puzzled by is representative of those who "seek" to follow her bidding. He has large eyes - but sees nothing, a large nose - but "smells not" the stench of death as "heads roll" at his queen's bidding. He does not question - merely follows her orders. He does not seek to "understand" for himself "why" this queen is able to wield so much power, NOR DOES HE CARE. He is a "false prophet" that the queen has chosen and USES; for "if" he is obedient to her, his "own head" will remain on his shoulders.

You perceive this to be an "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" type vision; and in fact, it is so.. it is a "caricature*" of "MYSTERY BABYLON" and the woman who "rides the beast" She too, comes clothed as one who is LOVE, but make no mistake, My Daughter - what she is TRULY CLOTHED IN - is apostasy, and ridding herself of those who would "stand in HER WAY!" She wears a crown. She has power. and.... She is "not" loathe to use it. She instills no fear in you when you watch her, but more amazement as her words never change, nor her demeanor. She is almost "surreal" to you but this "queen" is "VERY REAL!" She is the woman who RIDES THE BEAST who comes to power through the "false religion" she perpetrates and receives her power from her followers; even as Jezebel did. She demands TOTAL OBEDIENCE and nothing LESS WILL BE TOLERATED. She is corrupt, but incorruptible; determined to have HER WAY AT ANY COST. This "queen" rides a beast; and to her is given the freedom to take the life's blood of My precious ones. "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!" she cries, and none dare resist her - for she is too powerful, and there are too few who would even TRY to be as Elijah was and stand up against her OR against the "false religion" she perpetrates, and the "false doctrines" she has successfully used in the past. This "queen" is very dangerous, My beloved "very dangerous" for her response is IMMEDIATE and there is "no recourse" but to obey - or "loose your head.."

Do you know My daughter what your looking through the large keyhole represents? It represents LOOKING IN THE FUTURE.

"OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4)

*car·i·ca·ture n. - 1.a. A representation, especially pictorial or literary, in which the subject's distinctive features or peculiarities are deliberately exaggerated to produce a comic or grotesque effect. b. The art of creating such representations. 2. A grotesque imitation or misrepresentation: The trial was a caricature of justice. To represent or imitate in an exaggerated, distorted manner.

WORD HISTORY: The history of the word caricature takes us back through the centuries to a time when the Romans occupied Gaul, offering the blessings of civilization to the Gauls but also borrowing from them as well. One such borrowing, the Gaulish word ·karros, meaning "a wagon or cart," became Latin carrus, "a Gallic type of wagon." This Latin word has continued to roll through the English language, giving us car, career, cargo, carry, and charge, among others. Caricature, another offspring of carrus, came to us via French from Italian, in which caricatura, the source of the French word, was derived from Italian caricare, "to load, burden, or exaggerate." Caricare in turn came from Late Latin carric're, "to load," derived from the Romans' Gaulish borrowing carrus.

VESSELS FOR MY USE

Stephen Hanson

3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. 5 Then the word of the LORD came to me: Jeremiah 18

21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use? Romans 9

2 Timothy 2:20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble.

(The Lord showed me a clay pot which was in process of being made. The edges were being laid out with coils and the walls of it were being formed by hand. Water was being sponged on the edges to keep it moist and pliable. As I continued looking at this pot, the scene changed, and it was finished, beautiful in appearance. It appeared as a complete large bowl.)

(Then the Lord showed me a water container of some sort that had been finished. It was of the type that would be used on a journey of some sort. It was somewhat tapered with a handle. It had a very rugged appearance, but was sturdy and useful.)

(Then again the Lord showed me a scene of several clay pots. They were all lined up as in storage in a room, ready for the next process. There were about 4-5 shelves that all of these various vessels or pots, were sitting on. The scene changed then again, and I watched as the kiln was made ready and the temperature was very hot. Some of these clay pots then were placed in the kiln ready to be fired. I was in the kiln with these pots and noticed that they were making it through the firing process. They came out and this part of the process was finished. However, I noticed that some of them didn't make it through this part of the process. One in particular, had broken up into several pieces and had exploded in the firing process. It however, was gathered up into several pieces and was laid upon the shelf. Also, another one was laying on its side broken. It was a vessel that had a handle on it and was used for pouring with. The person who had taken these pots out of the kiln, carefully laid them down on their sides on the shelves.)

(The next process began with glazes and paint being applied to some of the clay pots. The glaze was carefully applied in various ways to each of them with a brush. Each pot had a different design and coloring. These were then brought into the kiln area and were set into the kiln for the final firing. I watched as they came out.....beautiful in appearance with a radiant and yet hard surface. )

The Lord then said:

"My process needs to be carried out through each step. Some have gone through a great "firing" and have made it through out onto the other side. There are various types of clay vessels, and each is suitable for my use. I AM the Potter and you are the clay. Let Me determine the shape that you will take. Some of you have attempted to go through things without going through my complete process. Thus, some of you have "exploded" in my fire. Some of you have been waiting upon the shelf for a long time. But do not be discouraged, for you will not be there much longer. I have a glaze that is designed for each of you. I also have a temperature that is suited for each of you. It is all a part of my design and plan. If you allow Me to work with you then you will be a vessel that is suitable for the Master's use. Each step is important, as I have said. You cannot rush ahead into the fire without being finished first. You are ALL important to Me, each in your own way. Some are for noble purposes and some are for ignoble. Know where you are to be. Then you will go and do the work that I've called each of you to do."

War Before The Face Of God

Terry Mengle

We have been called to war! We have not been called to maintain the 'status quo' or to continue as we always have in our traditions. Like any war, this war has more than one front. We are called to war both in the world and in the church.

Recently, while meditating, I heard the words: "War before My face!" I asked the Lord what He meant. He began to show me a vision of a church during its' Sunday morning corporate worship service.

The prayers, thanksgiving, praise, worship and adoration that flowed from the hearts of the passionate lovers of God ascended like pure white incense before the throne of God. This fragrant smoke began swirling together to form something solid and shimmering in gold. What I quickly saw forming was a beautiful corporate mercy seat that obviously pleased the Father. He moved closer to that altar of worship and service in response to His pleasure. He was fascinated, pleased and drawn to it.

The scene shifted back to the church as they were involved in their worship and the exercise of their gifts focusing on the glory of God. Suddenly one of the people present stood and spoke. What flowed from this one's mouth was different in substance and nature and it contained gray tainted and defiled smoke. This strange smoke settled over the corporate altar, began to move that which was pure out of the way, and defiled the altar. The response from the Father was evident revulsion. He moved away from the altar.

Explanation:

The Lord explained that His people wanted His manifest presence among them so multitudes could be saved, healed and delivered. They wanted His presence and glory because it destroyed the yoke of bondage, gave them guidance, and was a delight to experience. Then He repeated the words, "You must war before My face!" He repeated the words from Ephesians 6:12: "For WE (His emphasis) do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Does The 'Inner You' Need Healing?
By Carol Arnott

Have you been looking at someone else's life and saying, "Look at that person. Everything is going right for him and yet it doesn't seem to be going right for me. Why, Lord? Don't you love me?" Or maybe you are asking, "Why does the devil seem to be so powerful? Why is he always attacking me when others don't seem to be attacked nearly so much?" Throughout our ministry, even before renewal began in 1994, we have seen many casualties in ministry as well as in the pew. Even since the new outpouring of the Spirit started, we have seen people continue to stumble and fall.

In one case we saw a man and his wife who were powerfully touched by the outpouring, but in the face of marriage problems, the husband refused to go for counseling. Two years later, he left his wife and ministry for another woman half his age bringing reproach upon the Lord.

Another pastor would not deal with sexual sin in his life. The Holy Spirit sent kind messengers who gently urged him to seek help, but he did not heed them. Finally, his wife and family left, and he was put out of his church. Another pastor of a large church fell into major depression to the degree that he could not function. He took a leave of absence from his church for three months. In this case, the Lord rescued him and his family, helping them to find sympathetic counselors who prayed with them and loved them back to health by the power of the Holy Spirit. Today he is back in the ministry and healed from the depression.

All the people I'm describing had been powerfully touched by this River of God's presence, were mightily anointed by the Holy Spirit and had gone out across the world spreading the fire. All of them had something else in common: none had allowed the Lord to dig in the garden of his heart. But why did the anointing seem to remain with them?

Logjams in the Heart

The reason is simple. Regardless of the anointing God gives us to minister to others, it is possible to have a personal logjam in the heart. This logjam keeps the person who ministers from experiencing Jesus' healing mercy in his own wounded soul. The anointing may continue operating powerfully through the minister even though his personal life is in shambles because God is faithful to His word and to the preaching of the gospel. The scripture says, "The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." This means that God doesn't punish a spiritually gifted individual by revoking his calling and gifts because the minister stumbles or even falls. Therefore, the presence of the anointing is not a sign that the heart of the minister himself is right with God.

In previous revivals we have seen shipwrecked ministers and believers who learned this the hard way. Some left the ministry in disgrace. Others slugged on in denial, never receiving ministry and healing themselves, bringing reproach to the Lord and the ministry and disillusionment to their followers as their hypocrisies were exposed. God wants us to choose life in the ministry, not death. Choosing life means more than saying with your mouth, "I choose life." It means making daily choices to choose death to self and experience His resurrection life within us. Let's examine logjams more closely to detect their presence in our own lives.

Symptoms of Logjams

At this point some will quote the scripture, "Forgetting what lies behind" Yes, but what if your past is not lying dead, resolved through confession and forgiveness but instead was buried alive? What if it is now back to haunt you, looming larger than life, affecting your present and future? Sometimes the hurt was so great that it was impossible to resolve quickly. Did you stuff your anger in a closet as if to say, "I can't look at it now; I can't forgive now. I'll deal with it later"? Stuffing anger frequently masquerades as forgiveness because we don't feel bitter or angry anymore. Instead, we feel numb. Unless we admit the hurt and choose to give and receive forgiveness, we will inevitably wind up developing life-controlling habits and patterns of living that detrimentally affect others in our present. We then subconsciously transfer negative emotions onto people in our present that remind us of people in the past who have hurt us. Another symptom of a logjam is the overdeveloped need to compete, which manifests all too often when we try to minister the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes Christians use the gifts of the Spirit to gain a sense of significance or identity. Prophecy, for example, flows through the spirit of the one prophesying. If that human spirit is angry or bitter, the word comes through with harsh judgment rather than mercy.

Sometimes even having positive words of prophecy for others can give the one prophesying a sense of power over another individual. Often these prophecies are delivered in a parking lot or away from others in leadership. The hidden message becomes, "See how God is using me. I'm more spiritual than you think I am."

Another symptom of a logjam in the heart is the subtle presence of fear, which demonstrates itself in the need to control people. Sometimes our fear of not having enough money is rooted in an inability to trust God because we think He won't bless or provide for us. We control what we can't trust God to do.

The inability to experience intimacy with God is often rooted in a fear of being rejected by God, which is rooted in experiencing the disapproval of others. The fear of intimacy has caused more than a few leaders to shut down the moving of the Holy Spirit in their churches and substitute "works" in place of it. It is as though they must continually prove themselves to God and to their parishioners by constant "doing." Underneath it all the wounded soul is screaming, "Don't stop long enough to be still. You'll feel unworthy of God's love."

Marriage problems create a big logjam in the heart. Although these issues are not always simple, taking time to let the Holy Spirit shine His light here is vital to life in the ministry. Sometimes the causes of divorce these days are impossible to repair when there is physical abuse or repeated patterns of verbal or sexual abuse or misconduct and the offending party refuses to change. I know the personal pain of situations like these and my heart breaks for those in the same situation. God has used the tragedy of a broken marriage in my life to open me up to receive healing for these inner wounds. Sometimes there are other reasons why marriages fail. Jumping quickly out of your marriage at the first signs of trouble is often a religious mask for a problem you are unwilling to resolve. When your spouse is at odds with you, maybe it's not because they oppose the anointing in your life but because they see the misuse of the anointing in your life. Your spouse sees how you really are.

Learning to live harmoniously with a Christian spouse can file off the rough edges in your character and bring you to a place of humility as you learn to serve them in love. Ignoring this symptom or "spiritualizing" it away is dangerous. That's why the Bible says, "If a man does not know how to look after his own household, how will he look after the church of God?" (1 Timothy 3:5 NAS) If Satan is allowed to destroy your marriage, he will destroy your witness and defile your conscience. How you love and treat your wife or husband is exactly how you will treat the church of God. Getting down off your high horse of ministry, opening up to the Holy Spirit's healing may save your family and those you minister to from the pain of seeing another Christian home dissolve.

The symptom of sexual problems including sexual addiction to pornography or even the habit of fantasizing through romance novels and soap operas is more prevalent in the church today than you might think. We've also known a number who have stumbled and fallen when they began to confide heart-to-heart in someone of the opposite sex other than their spouse. Their inability to get along with their spouse and the loneliness it produced resulted in great temptation and progressed into spiritual adultery. When spiritual adultery occurs, physical adultery is often not far behind.

Another symptom of a spiritual logjam occurs when someone either feigns or hides behind chronic sickness. I don't want to place a burden of condemnation on anyone who is genuinely afflicted and who is open to seeing the Lord heal his or her body, soul and spirit. However, I've seen a pattern in some people who always seem to be ill. Sometimes illness was a way of getting attention as a child and the pattern follows you into adulthood. That is why Jesus asked the paralyzed man lying by the pool of Bethesda, "Do you want to be healed?" Sickness may be a way of avoiding unpleasant circumstances or even a symptom of depression, or it may be rooted in a generational curse.

Generational curses are the fruit of "the sins of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations" (Exodus 20:5b) How do I know if curses are operating in my life? Are there repeating patterns in your family's history such as accidents, premature death, adultery or alcoholism? (See Ezekiel 18:1-32 and Jeremiah 31:29-34) Occult involvement, including involvement in secret orders and groups that promote forms of religious mixture and unholy alliances, is like "strange fire" to God. Nadab and Abihu, Aaron's sons, made this mistake and paid for it with their lives. Let's turn from these things and plug up this chink in our spiritual armor. Whether you realize it or not, a generational curse can give the enemy of your soul a "legal" right to destroy you. And so can another problem, judgments made in bitterness.

John's book, "The Importance of Forgiveness," is a must-read in my opinion. If you take it to heart, it will change your life. Learning to forgive was a key to my own personal freedom, and it wasn't easy at first. I had to allow the Holy Spirit to open up the closets of my heart where the pain had been too great to face. I found places where I had subconsciously judged people who had hurt or offended me in the past. As I let each one go and gave them each the gift I didn't feel like they deserved, my forgiveness, the Holy Spirit washed me clean and began to release them to receive more from God. My feelings toward them began to soften.

Because my own heart was healed, I was able to eventually lead my ex-husband to Christ before he died. He had painfully abused me, but my forgiving him released him from the shackles of my own bitterness. I believe that my forgiving him and showing mercy to him opened the door for him to experience God's love and salvation.

Solution: Healing the Heart

All the issues I've just mentioned happen first in the heart before we ever see their evil fruit. Jesus said, "For out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man." (Mark 7:20-23) It is impossible to love God with a whole heart while your heart is full of these sins. They keep you from experiencing what God has for you. The Lord wants to heal your wounded soul and allow the true you to blossom. He wants you to experience heavy doses of His divine grace because grace is a place where Satan can't go. In order to experience His grace, you must learn to give it to others.

This is what sanctification is all about; little by little, allowing Jesus to take back the ground in your heart and mind that was once Satan's playground. As you open each door to your Heavenly Father's healing touch, you will automatically close each of those doors in the devil's face. Let's allow the Holy Spirit in this outpouring to conform us all to the image of God's dear Son. Let's keep choosing life, not death.

Revival Requires Obedience

A. W. Tozer

But why do you call Me "Lord, Lord," and not do the things which I say?
--Luke 6:46

It is my conviction that much, very much, prayer for and talk about revival these days is wasted energy. Ignoring the confusion of figures, I might say that it is hunger that appears to have no object; it is dreamy wishing that is too weak to produce moral action. It is fanaticism on a high level for, according to John Wesley, "a fanatic is one who seeks desired ends while ignoring the constituted means to reach those ends."...

The correction of this error is extremely difficult for it entails more than a mere adjustment of our doctrinal beliefs; it strikes at the whole Adam-life and requires self-abnegation, humility and cross carrying. In short it requires obedience. And that we will do anything to escape.

It is almost unbelievable how far we will go to avoid obeying God. We call Jesus "Lord" and beg Him to rejuvenate our souls, but we are careful to do not the things He says. When faced with a sin, a confession or a moral alteration in our life, we find it much easier to pray half a night than to obey God. The Size of the Soul, 18-19.

"May this never be true of my life, Lord! I see the futility; I'm convinced of the need. Now enable me by Your Spirit to live this obedience. Amen."
