Go Forth Into Battle

Bill and Marsha Burns

Bill Burns: Is it not written that all things must be shaken before the end of the age? Is it not written that My Church will be judged first? Those things are written, and the scriptures cannot be broken. Indeed, I am coming in these days to shake you. Have you considered that I will chasten those that I love? I will shake you for My purposes so that all the things that are not worthy of Me may be removed and that your mind be renewed and your eye become single in focus on the Lord of Glory. Get ready for the shaking and the judgment that now comes at this time. I will have a Church without spot or wrinkle. I am preparing My Bride. She shall be glorious, circumcised of tongue and of heart, and will worship in spirit and in truth. These are the days of the fulfillment of those things that were written long ago, for many have wondered, and many have desired to see these days. The angels have desired to look into the events of the end of the age and see and understand the mysteries that will be revealed in My Church before that great Day of the Lord. Get ready. Get ready to be shaken. Get ready to move in power.

Rise up, My people, for you are My battle axes. It is time to gird up the loins of your strength and go forth as a mighty man to battle. I, the Lord, have risen up like a mighty man, and I will do battle on behalf of My people. I come with a sword and a sling and a bow. I come with hail stones from My storehouse in the heavenlies. I, Myself, am angry with the enemy. I am against the voice of the enemy, and I am now arising to go forth to battle. I will bring judgment upon those who are against My people, says the Lord. I will pull down their vain imaginations, and I will make a distinction between those who are truly Mine and those who are not.

Come into the Holy of Holies, for in abiding and rest you shall be victorious, says the Lord. As you abide in My presence you shall take on My nature. As I show your fingers how to war, I will send you forth. I have strengthened your arms to pull the bronze bow, and I will send you forth to loose the arrows at the enemy. This is your inheritance, to pull down the strongholds and the powers of the kings that are set against My people and against My land.

...

I speak a word of encouragement to you, My children. Do you not know that I see your trials? Do you not know that I see your struggles? I have seen you in those trials and tribulations from the day your were born; I have seen you bathed in the blood. I am increasing your strength and power in these days, says the Lord. I am giving you an anointing, the anointing of the breaker, the anointing of the breakthrough. I will come and deliver you and bring you to victory. My word declares that I will always bring you to a place of triumph. Lift up the hands that hang down, and strengthen your feeble knees. Gird yourself for battle, put on your armor, and go forth into battle, says the Lord, for the battle is Mine, and I will surely bring victory if you will but believe. Arise and strengthen yourself in Me, then I shall undertake on your behalf. I will rout the enemy even as I have from days of old. You shall possess the good land and gain the victory, says the Lord. Only believe!

Marsha Burns: You have fled from the face of a controlling spirit, and you have been hiding in a spiritual cave. You have seen the wind and the earthquake and the fire. You have endured shaking. Hear My still small voice, and wrap your face in your mantle. I have called and chosen you for such a time as this. I trust you with this testing and this trial, and you will come forth in victory, says the Lord.

Jehovah Shammah (God, ever present)

Sammy Tippet

The distance all around will be 18,000 cubits. And the name of the city from that time on will be: THE LORD IS THERE (Ezekiel 48:35 NIV).

Some of my most precious memories are those of my early experiences as a follower of Christ. When Christ first became a reality in my life, I wanted everyone to know what had taken place. I wanted all my friends and family to know the Savior who had changed and forgiven me. Not long after I came to know Christ, several of my friends also came to a personal knowledge of the Savior.

We began meeting together early in the morning spending time in prayer. We would read the Bible and memorize Scripture verses. There was such a sweetness about God's presence in those early meetings with God. The aroma of His being there lingers with me 36 years later. It was amazing to me that the God who created the universe would manifest Himself to me during those quiet moments.

My heart was filled and overflowing each morning. There were no great flashes of lightening or crashes of thunder. There was the simple, quiet presence of God. However, there was something I didn't know at that time. God would lead me to every corner of this planet to proclaim His name. And the great wonder and thrill I would discover is that He would be present no matter where I went or what I encountered.

I've been arrested three times for proclaiming the gospel. I've walked into a revolution, the aftermath of an attempted genocide, and been in the middle of nations torn by war and ethnic hatred. I've been threatened with bombings, had knives put to my throat and guns pointed at me. But God has always been there with me. He has been Jehovah/Shammah - God, who is ever present. I've met Him when I've seen tremendous and exciting things taking place and also when I've been at the point of discouragement and disappointment. He's consistently revealed Himself as Jehovah/Shammah.

The first time we see the name Jehovah/Shammah (God who is ever present) is in the last chapter of Ezekiel. The prophet spoke that a city should be built and its name should be called Jehovah/Shammah. It was the word that God's people needed at that very moment. They were in desperate need of encouragement. And there's no better encouragement than to know that God is present with you.

Yet, as followers of Christ, we have an even more incredible promise. Before Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, He told His disciples to go into all the world and make disciples of the nations. Then He promised them, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matt. 28:20 NIV). His presence isn't confined to the four walls of a city. He's promised that His presence will be with us no matter where we go or what we face. He will presence Himself in the inner recesses of our hearts. Hallelujah! In the midst of defeat, He will be there. In the throes of discouragement, He will be there. On the mountain tops of victory, He will be there. In the face of danger, He will be there. At the times of trials, He will be there. He is certainly Jehovah/Shammah - God, who is ever present. ----------------------------------------------------Sammy attended the "Heart Cry for Revival" conference held at Billy Graham's retreat center, The Cove. The Wounds You Bear

Robert Lillington

I have rescued you for a destiny far greater than you can imagine. Your wounds are the very stones from which My house and purposes are built. The clear images you remember of hurt, disappointment, embarrassment and failure are the soil in which My strength grows. Have you not heard, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

There is power, great power in placing your wounds under My care, for I am the Great Physician. I specialize in healing your wounds. I come that you might have life in all its fullness and this includes you in all your strengths and particularly in your weaknesses. Do not consider that your deep wounds are ugly in My sight. They are beautiful for they bring you near to Me. Your wounds are like Mine. We can talk together of our war wounds and the comradeship in battle. Let Me be your friend in battle, let me be your healer, let Me be your refuge. Allow Me to empower you in your weakness, for when you are weak, then you are made strong. I have chosen the weak things of this world to confound the things which are mighty. My strength is made perfect in your weakness.

And so, my friend, My dearly loved one, you, My dear child. Take time to draw close to me and the wounds you bear will take on a whole new meaning. They will begin to shine in My presence. Consider yourself worthy to have suffered, for I have never abandoned you. In fact, I delight in you always. So, my dearly loved one, lift up those tired arms and quicken the pace of your feet for the time is coming and is now at hand when I will raise up a

Fellowship: Passionate Love for the Brethren

Chimezie Onyebilanma

If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 16-7

The problem in our churches today is that there is in most cases, very little fellowship among us. The sickness of our age – indifference and apathy – has also crept into the Church. We sort of feel we can have a fine walk with God without any serious walk with one another.

Even in churches where people are smiling and hugging each other, it is usually superficial. We do not love our brethren enough to bear them up before the Lord. We do not love them enough to confront them when their sin. We do not love them enough to be transparent with them about our own struggles. There is no fellowship because we are not willing to walk in the light with our brethren.

Our relationship with the brethren matters a lot to God. It is usually the measure of our sanctification or lack of it. We cannot say we love God and be unable to stand our brother. The truth is that if we love God, love for our brother will come naturally. “For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen’ 1 John 4: 20

Too often we wonder why there are so many hurting and wounded among us and we are seeing so few healings in our midst. Could it be because of this lack of true fellowship in many of our churches? James 5:16 definitely suggest so; “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed’.

Healing comes as we choose to be vulnerable and transparent with each other and as we begin to pray for one another. God´s anointing always flows when there is true fellowship. It is prayers of the righteous that is offered up in an atmosphere of true fellowship that is “powerful and effective’ (James 5:17). Un-forgiveness, grudges, bitterness, and mask wearing steals the power from our prayers.

It is time to take off our masks and begin to walk in fellowship. It is time to provoke the outpouring of the dew of Hermon upon Mount Zion.

Lost in Translation

Debra Westbrook

I keep hearing this phrase over and over within me this past week.

Lost in Translation

While renting a movie the other night, and while walking past the shelves of titles, God whispered this phrase to me before I even saw the title of the current movie named, "Lost in Translation". I have not seen this movie and may never see this movie but, God has something to say about this current title. It is an appropriate revelation for the Body of Christ today, right now.

Lost in Translation

In traveling this past year quite extensively, Marvin and I realize that there is a well-defined frustration when one tries to convey and express oneself in another country. Using the best interpreters, there is often something lost in translation. How does one convey spiritual thoughts and heavenly realities accurately so that the fullness of the words in the message come forth and shine with the reality Jesus Christ?

Heavenly realities are conveyed and revealed to each of us by the Holy Spirit - the precious Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16
9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"--
10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

There is a language of the Spirit that unites people from every tribe, nation and tongue to convey heavenly realities and the mind of Christ. Jesus, being one with the Father, reveals the very heart of Father God. Words that are expressed with heavenly anointing carry the freedom and liberty to set the captives free.
I John 6:63
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. (NIV)

When we speak forth thoughts, ideas, words that are not initiated by the Spirit of God, these come forth obscured by our own prejudices, traditions, denominational bondages, and a strong religious spirit.  So how do we not only rightly interpret spiritual and heavenly realities as well as to rightly convey these to each other and to a lost world?

In the book of Revelation, John must have been overcome by what he saw as his spiritual senses were accosted with the beauty and reality of the Throne of God. He conveyed these thoughts to us as led by the Spirit and as we read the book of Revelation we look at this book, read this book, interpret this book with spiritual eyes, ears, etc. etc.

What am I saying in all of this?

"Keep It Simple!"

To speak forth what is life we must speak the words of the Spirit. Sometimes heavenly thoughts are even beyond our ability to understand except as revealed by the Spirit of God, we must believe this:

  1. Corinthians 2:2-5
  2. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
  3. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.
  4. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power,
  5. so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
The centrality of Jesus Christ, the preeminence of Christ, must sound forth in all we say and in all we do. He and He alone as our ascended Lord and Master, is the very foundation upon which we live, move, and have our very being.

When we speak forth in our wisdom or our own presumption, there will always be something lost in translation.

Holy Spirit within us has a heavenly mandate of declaration and revelation.

    I John 16:12-15
12 "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

Holy Spirit reveals the person of Truth, Jesus Christ, revealing Him within us by expanding us and enlarging us to BEAR the weight of His glory. The overflow of this in our beings, results in a coming forth of the anointing to communicate by the Spirit, the reality of our Lord.  This word bear means to sustain, to carry and to support.  We are being expanded to convey spiritual realities by carrying the reality by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ within us. As we flow with the Holy Spirit, there is nothing lost in translation as we speak forth the language of the Spirit in revealing Christ in us the hope of glory.

    The centrality of Jesus Christ...........

    in our lives
    in all we do
    in all we say
    in who we are...............

Let Christ rise up in you, ascend in you so that the mind of Christ can be revealed to you by Holy Spirit. We live, move and have our being in Him - allow Holy Spirit to totally possess you so that the reality of Jesus Christ flows through you in the unsurpassing excellence of His glory!

    Defining

    Mary Lloyd

    My child,
Let My light shine upon you so that you can see the truth. The landscape of your true self is not hidden from Me, it is hidden from you. There are peaks and valleys, weaknesses and strengths, sharp places, deep places, needs and desires, and changing seasons of colours that are you on the inside. Some of those places are not ones you care to look at. But I am calling you to do so as I gently lead.
Be comforted that I know you and I love you. I will not leave you unrescued. The pain in you is My pain also. The sin in you is covered by Me. I am calling you to look deeper. Define yourself. Be courageous. Be honest. Define yourself to Me.
You need to know that I AM the One who makes you whole. But I AM making you whole in Me. I am not ill-defined. The whole of creation proclaims My glory. I AM not a whisper or a vapour or a passing scent. I AM not a notion or a hobby or an excuse for you to be who you are. I AM your God. I am well-defined. And you are well-defined - in Me.
As you confess to Me who you truly are, so your needs become visible in My light. Your needs are a falling-short of wholeness. Even your highest thoughts are a falling-short of My thoughts. But I have given Myself - wholly - to you. So give yourself to Me. Just as you are.
Rejoice! As you express yourself like this, I will meet you at the point of each need. There is nothing insignificant about you to Me. When I meet you at each point, each peak, each valley and hill of the landscape which is you, I will make you whole. This is your testimony. This is how you proclaim My glory. I AM your wholeness. I AM your righteousness. I AM your hope. I AM your light.
Define yourself, and you will define Me.
I AM the answer to your heart's cry.

    Surrender

    Ada

I sought him, but I found him not.
    --Song of Solomon 3:1

Tell me where you lost the company of a Christ, and I will tell you the most likely place to find Him. Have you lost Christ in the closet by restraining prayer? Then it is there you must seek and find Him. Did you lose Christ by sin? You will find Christ in no other way but by the giving up of the sin, and seeking by the Holy Spirit to mortify the member in which the lust doth dwell. Did you lose Christ by neglecting the Scriptures? You must find Christ in the Scriptures. It is a true proverb, "Look for a thing where you dropped it, it is there." So look for Christ where you lost Him, for He has not gone away. But it is hard work to go back for Christ. Bunyan tells us, the pilgrim found the piece of the road back to the Arbour of Ease, where he lost his roll, the hardest he had ever travelled. Twenty miles onward is easier than to go one mile back for the lost evidence.

Take care, then, when you find your Master, to cling close to Him. But how is it you have lost Him? One would have thought you would never have parted with such a precious friend, whose presence is so sweet, whose words are so comforting, and whose company is so dear to you! How is it that you did not watch Him every moment for fear of losing sight of Him? Yet, since you have let Him go, what a mercy that you are seeking Him, even though you mournfully groan, "O that I knew where I might find Him!" Go on seeking, for it is dangerous to be without thy Lord. Without Christ you are like a sheep without its shepherd; like a tree without water at its roots; like a  leaf in the Wind--not bound to the tree of life. With thine whole heart seek Him, and He will be found of thee: only give thyself totally up to the search, and  thou shalt yet discover Him to thy joy and gladness.

Father help us to totally surrender every thing that is not like you, and follow you.
Help us not to be found lax in the reading of Your Word.
Help us to lay aside every weight that so easily beset us and take up our Cross Daily and follow You.
Of we have lost You, Help us to find you and destroy the little foxes that are sapping our victory.

We are Praying in the Name of Jesus.

    Amen
    God Bless
