Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. In the kingdom of God one very important aspect of worship is coming before Him and releasing the high praises that proceed from the heart of God.
God is in pure unity and delight with the fellowship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are one and function as one. And we, as the Body of Christ, are to follow the holy and pure example of the Godhead; to be one in unity with each other, and to function as one in complete delight in fellowship with one another.
There is nothing like being in the perfect will of God and having the peace that you are. As we put the Lord first and His kingdom, we can be assured that He will supply all our needs. His children will lack no good thing. He will be sure of that. As we give unto Him, we are putting our wealth and worldly possessions in a place of safekeeping with Him. Where your heart is will be where your treasures lie also.
As we commit all our cares into His hands, He will be sure to take care of us and every aspect of our lives. There is no one in this earth who can love us like our heavenly Father does. He sees to it that we are taken care of every hour of every day. He sends His angels to watch over us, and protect us, and fight evil off on our behalf.
He loves us with a never-ending love, one that is not merited by what we do for it is unconditional. Yes, we can never do anything to make Him love us any less or any more than He does this day. He loved us so much even when we were sinners. How much more now that we are His friends, now that we are embraced by His saving grace. We have so much to be thankful for, that He poured out His grace and mercy out upon us, and drew us into His family. We are one with Him, and nothing will ever separate us from His love. So we are to act like we are part of His family.
We should never fret when it looks like He will never supply all our needs. He allows us to go through trials to try our faith to see what needs purging out of our hearts. Our faith needs to go through the fire so it will become pure as gold, nothing tainted with the evil that the enemy tries to plant in our hearts of doubt and unbelief. Fear is a byproduct of these things, and can snare us in so many ways, and is so hard to break the hold of it upon your life.
Stay in the Word so faith will grow in your heart. And keep on your armor so that you can stand in the evil day. And having done all to stand, stand firm, immovable against the fiery darts of the evil one sent to rob your faith. Stand behind your shield. Don't look at the circumstances believing that they are God's will for your life.
What does the Word say? Believe it, for that is the truth upon which you are to base your decisions. Do not be motivated by fear, but by the wisdom of God, which He will lavishly pour out upon you if you only ask Him for it. He longs to reveal His will to His children. He delights in blessing His children when they draw close to Him. His will is that we may prosper and be in good health as our souls prospers.
So remember this day the important aspects of worship are being in unity, and being in obedience to His perfect will. And as we press into His presence, He will be right there to fight the battle against the enemy. And we win, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus this day.
Examine Your Hearts
In the midst of the fire there is rain. I have been calling you to draw closer to Me so that I may pour out upon you My glory, but you stay outside of My courts of grace. Why do you only come so far and then turn away from Me? Why do you not come fully to My throne of grace for I have an abundance of blessings I want to pour out upon you? This is the day of My latter rain outpouring, and I want all of My people to partake of My giftings and take them to those I gave My life for, those who do not yet know Me.
Did I not say that you would do greater works than I because I go to My Father? Then why do you doubt My faithfulness to perform all that I said I would do in My word? I want you to come boldly to My throne of grace, and ask favor of Me, and expect Me to move on your behalf. I want you to trust Me unceasingly no matter what you face in the natural. Do not trust in what you see with your eyes, because these things can be deceiving for the enemy deals in the natural sense realm. You are My people and you are to walk by faith and not by sight. For if you come out from behind your shield of faith, the enemy will hit you with his fiery darts, and he will pierce your heart where you will struggle to gain back your ground. Look towards Me the author and finisher of your faith and waver not in doubt and unbelief.
Don't you know that I take you through the fire to purify you and to strengthen you so that you may stand in the evil day when the enemy comes to sift you like wheat to see where you stand. Are your words and your confessions like gold or are they like wood, hay and stubble which can be burned up? Well, that is what I AM out to find out. Are you able to stand when I turn up My fire? Will you stand boldly when I turn up the oven seven times. Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego I was there with them in the flames and they escaped unharmed.
Yes, this is the day of My latter rain outpouring, and I will move through vessels that have been purified like gold. Yes, I will only move through pure vessels for I will not share My glory with no man. And yes, this is the day of My greater works ministry, and many signs and wonders will be done in My name that no man can deny will be of Me. But I want you to be ready. I don't want any of My people left out standing on the outskirts of My glory. I want all My children to partake of the great move of My Spirit. For yes, My glory, the river of My love, will flow across this land like a mighty tidal wave. It will destroy all that isn't of Me. All that repel My love will be taken away into eternal judgment for I AM a just God and I AM a mighty warrior. And even though I AM long-suffering, there comes a day when My wrath will overflow upon the unjust servants of disobedience.
So I tell you this day to examine your hearts to see if what you are doing is truly of Me. I gave you a conscience that you may walk in My will, and if you turn away from My still small voice, your heart will be hardened. Beware of the deceitfulness of riches and the pride of man. The pleasures of the moment are not worth losing your heavenly inheritance in Me. Your rewards you receive from man will not last. So do not rob Me of My glory any longer for it will snow ball into that which you can't escape.
I AM speaking to those who sell My riches to those I gave My life for. Did I not say that what you freely receive of Me, freely you are to give to others? Then why do you sell that which is Mine for ungodly fees? I AM abhorred by this for I turned the money tables before and I will do it once again. This is a warning that you may escape My wrath before it is too late. Wake up to the snare that you are in. Escape the trap by crying out for My grace and My mercy for this is the day of My judgment. And I will first judge My church.
Humble yourself before Me and I will lift you up. Yes, I said I would pour out My fire but it is the fire of My love, but I will also pour out My rain. Who I love I chastise for I AM your Father God, and I will do a quick work for you must be ready before it is too late. I admonish you. Yes, I even rebuke you. I want to wake you and shake you to the seriousness of the hour. There is no time left to play games and to do your own thing in My name. Give Me your all and I will transform you into vessels of glory meet for your Master's use. So accept My words in love and repent and return unto Me, says your God.

Empowered By the Father's Love

I am pouring out My glory on you says the Lord. I pour it on to show you My love and to see you go forth in faith power by My love and shining with the light of My Son Jesus. The glory will be weighty but I Am with you, My Spirit will carry you. I will go before you so you can walk in the calling I have placed upon you.
My love in you is the power that makes your faith strong. If you love Me, you will do all I have called you to do. Your faith increases the more you love Me. So I send you forth to heal the sick, set the captives free, speak the good news of My Son's saving grace, and to tell them of the Father's love. Signs and wonders will follow My faithful believers. You shall see the blind receive sight, deaf to hear, the lame to walk, and life to come into the dead.
Time is short says the Lord so do not hold back. Come to Me with all your heart and soak in My love letting My glory cover you, fill you, empower you to do the work of the ministry, the calling I have placed in and on you.

Into Repentance

I had an experience very early this morning, about 4:44, and the Lord began to speak to me about the present condition of the Church and the work that He is going to do in this coming season. He led me into repentance for this generation spurning the grace of God by taking His glory. We are the generation that has the greatest opportunity of all time to excel in Christ. We have more wisdom and revelation. What has the Church done with these things? Remember that the Lord began to visit His people back in the early 1900's in a place called Azusa Street and began to do a new work. He restored the gifts of the Spirit, but especially the gift of tongues. If we follow that down, there followed a restoration in healing in the 1950's. Then, the Charismatic movement brought an understanding of our authority in Christ and spiritual warfare and how to have victory. We are a blessed people because of those visitations of God. I cried out to God and asked Him to forgive a generation of people who took what was Holy and counted it a common thing. We have spurned by in large much of what You have tried to do in the Church, in the hearts of Your people. We have been flippant with Your name, as we ascribe everything that takes place as being a work of Your Spirit. I ask, Lord, that Your forgiveness would be extended to this generation and that we might not miss out on the new move of Your power, where we are exhorted to know You.
Sometimes we think it has to be the whole Church that repents, but if God just finds one man. If He can find a Nehemiah who will cry out because of the brokenness and destruction of God's city or a Daniel who will confess to the Lord, "We have sinned, my fathers and I." That allows God to do what He purposes. Today, Lord, we thank You for the opportunity and for Your love and forgiveness. I know that You are pleased with those who walk with You in Spirit and do what You ask.
The Lord says to His people, I come as the Lord of confirmation. I come to confirm to you the season that has been prophesied and those things that have been spoken. Have I not spoken to you of the new loaf, the bread of life that you yourselves will become? Have I not spoken to you that I am bringing you into a perfect harmony with Me that you might dance the dance of the Lord where your feet will touch My feet and My arms will hold you and lead you and take you into all of My purposes? Have I not said to you that there are coming forth the sons of glory in this age and even the cupbearers of this dispensation who will bring forth the golden oil of My anointing and the new wine of this season that you are stepping into? Have I not spoken to you that your foot has been on the threshold of a new day, a new beginning for some time now? If you would but look back at the beginning of this move you would be astonished at the mighty works that I have accomplished, for I have brought forth prophets who have spoken, and they have spoken because they have seen My purposes and have foretold those things that I am doing even now and will bring to completion in the days ahead. The years behind you have been years of preparation, for you have visited the threshing floor in many ways and many times, and you have had the chaff removed and tossed aside by the breath of My Spirit so that I could move you into a unity of the Spirit and cause you to become the new loaf that I am bringing forth out of the oven and out of the fires of affliction and testing. You shall come forth.
This has been My purpose, says the Lord, for I determine in this time to bring forth a remnant people, a people who love Me with whole hearts, all of their souls and minds. There are those who have asked, "Where has the glory gone?" I say, it has departed in many places, but is it not written that the latter temple shall shine forth with the greatest glory? It will be the greatest of that which I have determined. So, I say, gird up the loins of your mind, strengthen your feeble knees, and lift up the hands that hang down in weakness. Forget those things which are behind. I exhort you to move forward into the freshness of this place that I am opening for you, for I say a door has been opened. It is a door in the heavenly places where you may ascend and sit at My feet and learn of My ways and know those things which are yet coming.
Many have said that the Lord does not speak in these days, but I speak to those who will listen. Is it not written that if you have ears to hear then you will hear? Is it not written that My sheep hear My voice and they will follow Me and they will hear only My voice and no other? Come now and rise up, for the time of preparation is over and the time of a new beginning is upon you. Come forth and walk in the fullness of this age.

Come, dear one, and allow Me to touch your heart, that I might bring the full measure of My healing and restoration to you. To do this, I must bring to the surface the things that you keep hidden down deep. These things must be exposed that they might be healed. Is it not My way for you to confess your sins that you might be forgiven? Likewise, it is also My way to shine My light into your darkness that I might expose and dispel that darkness, that I might break it's power over you.
Do not be too ashamed to bring your darkness to Me. For I will not heal you if you are not willing to admit your need. As I said when I walked on this earth, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." So, little one, do not try to hide your need from Me -- for I know all things and I know of your needs and your weaknesses and your failures. But I have not come to condemn you for them. And at this time I have not come to judge you for them, though you will one day stand before Me and give account if you are unwilling to deal with these things now. But at this moment I am not here to judge you for your struggles; rather I have come to set you free from them, to empower you to overcome by shining My light into your darkness and dispelling it.
Child, I am truth and I am light. You cannot abide in Me and remain filled with darkness. For it is the very nature of light to expose and dispel darkness. If you would abide in Me, My light shines on you and it causes your darkness to be exposed. Do not deny it, do not push it back down. Rather, allow the light of My presence to shine in and to break the hold that this darkness has in your life. Allow Me to root up things of the past and address them, for I desire to break their hold over you.
Have I not come to set captives free? What did you think I meant by that? Let me tell you what I mean. I have broken the power of sin on Calvary, but each person must individually respond and believe and receive what I have done for them. Likewise, I have broken the chains of bondage and oppression that the devil has put on My people through hurts of the past, but you must expose them to My light, to confess your need for My deliverance, if you desire Me to deliver you. If you say to Me, "I have no need" when the need is present, then you lie to Me. You become bound by the lie to conceal and hide and it increases the power of that thing over you. When you deny these things and say you have no need, then I will not help you with them. For I am truth and I cannot condone a lie nor can I dwell in darkness and deceit.
But if you confess your need to Me, if you repent and throw yourself on My mercy, then you shall have mercy and I will set you free from the bondages that beset you. And in this process, I will require that you forgive others, just as I have forgiven you. But do not fear, for I will work a change deep within you as I bring My healing to you, and that change will empower you to truly forgive from the bottom of your heart. I do not ask the impossible of you when I command you to forgive, for I will empower you to do so, through My indwelling Holy Spirit Who I have sent to reside within you.
Do not be surprised when things rise to the surface that you wish were not within you. For I expose your darkness and sin and failures that I might dispel them. So, do not push them back down and try to hide them, for I desire to lift them off of you and set you free from them. I say to you that My deliverance from these things is much better than trying to pretend that they do not exist. Humble yourself before Me, admit your need and watch what I will do on your behalf. For I am with you and My desire is to set you free from the things that hold you back and then to thrust you into the fullness of your destiny. Trust Me and cooperate with Me in this. I am for you and I am able to see this through to completion.

Can You Discern the Wind?

"Do not go beyond what I reveal to you. Do not go beyond the revelation that I give unto you. There is the written word and there is the revealed word. Both are needed. The wind blows and so it is with my spirit. You cannot tell from whence it comes. My written word is as a pillar. So you have the pillar and the wind. A building needs a founding structure to it but there are spaces between the pillars. So is it in a piece of tapestry. You have the fabric and you have the warp and the weft. But if there were no spaces in the fabric how would it breath? But I tell you that it is very easy to go beyond what I say to you. There are many different types of winds and there are many different types of spirits. They blow in many different ways and forms. What kind of wind ushers my spirit in? I tell you that it is very easy to fall prey to the winds of the enemy. Can you discern between the winds?"
"I tell you that a great wind is coming upon my people. It will blow through your churches. It will blow through your homes. If your lives are not anchored down it could blow them away. These winds will blow and will bring many things into being. These winds will blow across the various nations and peoples of this world. I tell you that a wind is blowing upon North Korea. It will blow upon their army and propel them into maneuvers. Many of the peoples of the east will get caught up in these maneuvers. The wind has blown upon Iraq but it will shift. It is as one big chess game with the various players within it. So it is with the peoples and nations of this world. The wind has blown upon many and given unto them my spirit, but many are still not sensitive to the things of the spirit. Many shun the idea that we are living in the last days. Many interpret these things their own way. But the time will come when interpretation will be of no use. The time will come when these events will play out right before your eyes. Those who are coming from the east will cause others to get caught up with them. Many things are done in secret that your government can not see. Like I have said, it is like a chess game--one move begets another. So beware of the wind and know from whence it is coming."

The Religious Spirit

What is a religious spirit? It is an attitude, way of speaking, form of behavior that looks, smells, sounds, tastes and touches like Christianity but it is not.
Why?
Sin.
Anytime that a believer has known or unknown sin in their lives, they can still appear as Christians. But only God knows the heart. That means that He alone knows our true selves.
Many Christians 'play the game', or 'keep up appearances' among their siblings in Christ in church meetings and services, prayer meetings, seminars and conferences, weekend retreats, etc. This is because sin isn't preached upon, nor the honesty of confessing it (see James 5:16) emphasized. Churches have become, in large part, places of faith but an unrealistic, and unGodly, faith. Selfishness is typical, as Paul prophesied it would be in the last days prior to Jesus' return. Traditions are clung to instead of God. In fact, in many churches God is far down the list of importance. It is the 'church' that is the authority, it is the 'church' that is damaged by misconduct (clergy and staff), it is the 'church' that has to have its reputation.
Where is God in all of this? Where is Jesus? Where is the Holy Spirit? Jesus' comments in Revelation 3 show this truth: the 'church' has become self supportive....we don't need God anymore. It is about us, our faith, our church, our programs, our methods of study.
Where is the evidence of caring for people that Jesus emphasized?
A religious spirit is self centered, self promoting, self exalting, self reliant. They have squeezed God out. They can be Christians without His help. This goes across all denominations. They are proud of what they are doing for God yet they have forgotten God in the process.
Jesus said that His disciples were to be known as people focused: loving, caring, sharing, and pointing others to seek to spend their eternities in God's presence. The focus starts with our relationship with God, something that is vitally important in our lives as believers, then it carries on to our relationships with others, family, friends, coworkers....on and on. Everyday people who need to know God by belief on Jesus as Saviour and LORD. They are to be our focus as we focus on God -- for God has the same focus, on all people, and that's why He sent Jesus.
Going to church weekly, participating in church activities, going to seminars and conferences, reading Christian books and listening to Christian music are fine BUT they are not the lifestyle of being people focused that Jesus modelled, and taught.
Sin afflicts all of us, none of us is immune. God says that every one of us has sinned, and will continue to sin after we have believed. Read Romans 3 and 6. We can be proud of our association with proper and upstanding Christians, our perceived perfectness as citizens. We can also be in denial about that habitual speeding, the coarse talk, the self centeredness, etc.
Jesus spoke to proud, perceiving perfect, people:
"To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee [religious person] stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 18:9-14
When we live in sin, no matter what kind, we are out of fellowship with God, and as a result that that unconfessed sin will cause problems not only in our own personal life, but also in the lives of those involved with us -- such as family, friends, coworkers, church, etc.
We cannot truly call ourselves Christ followers unless we are following Jesus' examples.
"Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." Luke 9:23
"And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:27
"Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored.
May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.
Give us our food for today, and forgive us our sins, just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.
And don't let us yield to temptation, but deliver us from evil (the evil one [who tempts])
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." Matthew 6:9-13
Jesus said to pray along these lines. When He said 'deliver us from evil' He meant from sin(and a religious spirit, for example). Sin breaks our fellowship with God, and grieves the Holy Spirit with Whom we are commanded to be filled (empowered) on a daily basis.....a lifestyle. Sin contaminates our souls, ruins our relationships, and makes us hypocritical in our speech about being Christians where our thoughts, emotions and lifestyle say otherwise. [Hypocritical means say one thing, do another].
"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." Luke 5:16
Nicodemus, the Pharisee - John 3
As humans, we still have the tendency to sin: speeding on the freeway, lying on the test, fudging figures on the tax return....as Jesus said a thought was a sinful as an act, we MUST honestly confess our sins to God, and seek His forgiveness as we REPENT from habitual sins. See Romans 6, Psalm 51.
The reality of a religious spirit hit home with me recently. As I attended a lecture series sponsored by a well known, and highly respected, seminary, I was immediately intrigued by the wealth of information given during a particular lecture.
God got my attention very dramatically, and said, 'What is it about you, Gretchen, that is intrigued by this lecture?'
I thought, and responded, 'LORD, my intellect, my analytical abilities, my logic.'
He said, 'That is right. Where is My Holy Spirit in this lecture?' I sat, listened, and waited.
I replied, 'LORD, there is only a small flame of Your Holy Spirit here.'
He admonished me, 'That is right. Because their human intellect and analytical natures have been given more attention than the Holy Spirit, because they have refused to believe that I AM everything that I have said that I AM today as yesterday, the powerful flame that I set on the heads of those at Pentecost has been reduced for these believers to a mere flicker. It is their SIN of UNBELIEF that has made them ineffective spiritually. Jesus said, as I said, that I must be worshipped in Spirit and Truth, not intellect. Jesus is Truth.'
My prayer for all who read this is to admit before God that He is "I AM THAT I AM", that He is as all powerful, all knowing, all places present today as yesterday; that He alone holds the future; that our lives here are but a wisp - here today, gone tomorrow - so we must set our sights on eternity: ours and others'; that we seek to know God AS HE IS, not as we wish Him to be, reducing Him to fit our sinful mindsets; that we place a HIGH PRIORITY on learning of Jesus, and living His way, as He said to be 'the better thing.'

I Search The Heart

I search your hearts. I Am the God Who Sees. I see exactly what is in your heart when you come to praise Me. You can't hide it from Me. I want broken and contrite hearts when you come into My presence. I am to be exalted. I am to be lifted up. Your focus should be on Me. But you focus on other things instead of on Me.
I look at the condition of your heart. Not only do I see what you are focused on, but I see the other junk that is in there--things that a child of Mine should not be thinking on.
I am calling you to true repentance, NOT an "I'm sorry; I won't do that again" lip service. If it is an attitude that is not of Me, is not like Me, it has no place in your heart. Anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, aggravation, resentment--these things are just as vile to Me as pornography, hatred, murder, adultery. Repent. Turn from these heart attitudes. Root it out; pull it out; destroy it. Build on My Fruits of My Spirit. I want to look on a clean heart, pure and holy before Me.

A Matter of Life or Death

From where we stand today on the brink of great changes of eternal proportion, life or death is before us. The Fire of God has come near the earth and the heavens are opening. Spiritual blindness is being removed. Captives are being set free from the bondages of carnality. The power of God is changing death to life. Those who were deceived by the cunning of religion are coming to truth. The power of true worship is being felt across the world.
The light of God is penetrating the darkness of hearts. Love is replacing bitterness in broken lives as pride is dissolved by the deep love of the Father flowing through Christ in a new people - a people who love God above all else and openly seek Him with their whole hearts. The Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is raising up a generation of "Christ in you" people who walk in holiness and love that overcomes the work of the enemy.
The world is in position to receive the greatest blessings every poured out - the very life and presence of God within and among His people on earth. This is a great gift to the world. But to whom much is given much is required. Because God is coming forth on earth excuses are disappearing. There will be no place to hide and the earth shall be purified through unrelenting loving judgment.
Multitudes are entering the valley - "the valley of decision". As the "Christ in you" people manifest the reality of God in man everyone will be able to view true holiness, purity, and love without hypocrisy. They will know that God is real and must decide to give their lives to Him or face the judgment of self condemnation - the terrible judgment of love. Death will become very common and a daily reality for multitudes who reject the love of the Father. The standard of Christ will be lifted up through the Holy Spirit forming Christ in His people.
The new called out ones will not gather under the banner of religion nor any other manmade or demonic authority but only the real authority of Christ and under His banner of love. Gatherings of the "Christ in you" people will meet in homes, business places, parks, churches or wherever. These will be highly committed and submitted people who will follow the voice of their true shepherd and will not follow another. Christ from the throne will come in glory by the Holy Spirit to meet with His people and His glory shall fill the earth. The government of gifted elders (mature ones) will follow only the Spirit and will bring forth the feeding of the immature ones as they grow.
It is a very deadly mistake to hold on to the past when God is severely changing things.

Release every offense, and choose to take down the barriers that you have erected through your own hurt and disappointment. You are entering a season of extreme fruitfulness, which can be most beneficial to you. But, if you refuse to release those you have held in bondage through unforgiveness and bitterness, you yourself will not be released to partake of the bounty of this season, for you will be like one whose pockets have holes, and what you acquire both spiritually and materially will slip through your fingers. Choose to open your heart in charity and generosity, and release all prejudice. With the same measure you give, it will be measured back to you. Extend mercy.
