Doubt Not! by James Donovan My chosen ones doubt not that I have called you out, to be My conduits of power and light. I have great plans for you My chosen ones. Shrug off the heavy weight and lies of satan which bring confusion and cause you to doubt that you are called for My purposes. Stand on My promises! For in My Word you shall be victorious. I am the Great I AM, and I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. So press into Me and follow after Me. I have called you out of the muck and clay, out of the pits and the ravines to be My lighthouses dispelling the darkness with My Light. Doubt not that I have called you out to be victorious in Me. Because you are My branches you shall bear much fruit. My desire is that none shall perish and all shall know Me as Lord and Savior. Stand on My Word for I am with you. Declare My Word from your mouth. Be bold and have faith enough to shout “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,’ and to actually BELIEVE IT! Doubt not! Press into My word and by faith claim My truths; speak them out over your lives with authority. For you are My chosen ones. Doubt not! But arise and walk in the destiny and plans I have for you. Put on the full armor I have provided for you. I have called you out to be My light bearers, and to declare My truth. My truth shall set many people free to walk in the destiny I have called them to, and they will soar like the eagles – high and lifted up. They will soar with confidence, boldness and authority to fulfill the purposes I have destined for them. Come up I am calling you up to a higher place then you have ever known before. It is a place of higher authority as well as a place of higher accountability and responsibility. Doubt not that you can learn to comprehend what I desire here and now. Doubt not that you can do what I require from you as you rise up to soar in this higher place I have called you to. Doubt not for I am with you. My Spirit is within you and where My Spirit is – there is freedom, and liberty, and newness of life. Press into Me, Your God. Hearken to My voice and receive all I have for you. To fulfill your destiny in Me you will need everything I have set aside for you. So ask for what you need and gladly accept what I offer you. Do not refuse to accept the things I desire to give to you. You must learn how to receive as well as you give – then you will be properly balanced. Doubt not for this is the season I am raising a people to fan the flames of the fire set by My Spirit, to walk by faith, and act boldly and courageously by faith, and proclaim My truths, with signs, wonders and miracles following. Blessed Are The Disillusioned We really ought to thank and praise God that people are sensing something of the Lord´s dissatisfaction with the way things are. Thank God for that disillusionment. People think disillusionment is a bad thing, but to be disillusioned means you have been stripped of your illusion. You had a fantasy about something, a false impression, and now that false impression has been exposed. You have seen the truth, and you have been dis-illusioned. When people come to me and say they have been disillusioned with the church, I say praise the Lord – now you can make some progress! And when they come to me and say, “I´m so disappointed with God, I can´t make sense out of my Christian walk. I´m so disillusioned,’ I say that is wonderful – now you´re really beginning to grow up spiritually. You cannot see the truth about God, or about the church, or about yourself, until you stop living in the world of illusions. The opposite of illusion is reality and truth. Authenticity is the opposite of hypocrisy. We have already mentioned how much Jesus dislikes hypocrisy. Jesus is the one who disillusions people so that they can see the truth behind the illusion. But some people are so in love with their illusions that they can no longer recognize the truth when they hear it. I was teaching in a home group one time and talked for forty-five minutes about the difference between Organized Religion and the Church that Jesus is building. There was a long silence at the end of what I had shared, and an older woman to my right said, “Well, you better not speak against the Church, because it is the house of God.’ I thought I must be a terrible teacher to speak for forty-five minutes and still not be able to show people the difference between the church building and the house of living stones. Then I realized the problem was not with my mouth but with her ears. Jesus said he who has ears to hear, let him hear. Anything that does not give Christ the preeminence, or gets in the way of that preeminence, or distracts people from that preeminence, is under judgment. First Peter 4:17 says, “It is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?’ Does anyone take the Bible seriously? Peter said judgment begins with the household of God. That´s because God cannot, and will not, judge the world, or the people who do not know Him, until He has judged the people who claim to know Him. When God judges His own household, and purges and refines His own people, the world will finally see that God means business, and He is righteous, holy, just, good, fair, and impartial. And when His Household is judged, the world will see it and be saved. God will accomplish more in two seconds than we have been able to accomplish in two millennia. Now, if you have trouble with that, if that´s a little more than you can handle right now, then please pray about it and ponder it in your heart like Mary. Search the Scriptures and just keep it before God for now. The substance of my message to you is this: that whatever good you may find in Organized Religion does not change the fact the Jesus continues to express His dissatisfaction with the things that He is not pleased with. He will have it all according to His terms or He will have not have any of it. It is called unconditional surrender; there will be no negotiation, there will be no terms. He will not allow you to keep something of the flesh, something of tradition, a little bit of legalism. Not one bit of it. Judgment begins with the household of God. You have been warned. Jesus says “I rebuke the ones I love when I see them going astray’ (Rev. 3:19). So He says to repent. And I say to you, repent. Change your hearts. Change your minds. Change your attitudes and perceptions of things. That´s what you need to be concerned with; not changing the way you “do ministry,’ but changing the way you see God, and see the church, and see yourself. I don´t care if you are in church or out of church. That really doesn´t matter to me. What matters to me is that wherever you are, you will remember that God´s Ultimate Purpose and Intention is for Christ to have the preeminence in all things. And the reason why I must speak out and give this hard word about what´s wrong with the church is because Christ does not have the preeminence in Organized Religion. At best it is a distraction from Christ, at worst it is a substitute for Christ. That is the bottom line. Put Him first and see what He says. Test this word. Ask God to show you the truth. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these things to you. If something has been said to encourage you, then praise God. If something has been said to upset you, then ask yourself why you are so upset. This message may very well be a tool that God wants to use to bring some much needed disillusionment. Be willing to be adjusted to Him. Don´t resist the Holy Spirit. Don´t harden your heart. Don´t think it is just Chip Brogden having issues with the church. Lay aside your opinions, open your heart to God, search the Scriptures, and let Him show you the truth Himself.

The bigger you are, the more important and able to absorb the smaller businesses. In our area Stop and Shop has just swallowed up Foodtown store. We the Church have followed this worldly trend, it certainly helps to have a bigger budget, but is this God's way? We do see in the Scriptures that when King David began to count the number of his troops... God was NOT pleased. Please Note: This does not mean that God wants a few folk saved. No He desires "all to be saved." The point is many are to mature in Christ, not remain a baby in Christ fed on the milk of the word. (Heb.5:11-14) MANY, MANY FORMS of PRIDE "... Those who take pride in what is seen rather than what is in the heart." - 2 Cor.5:12. The apostle Paul is very aware of the tendency of the human nature to look at the outward appearance and to take pride in what we see. Christian Pride which is strong in this area has to do with- Folks - we love to glory in our strengths!! The scriptures say that "the Spirit helps us in our weakness" Why?? Because our fallen nature loves strength, power, independence. THE CROSS Must GO DEEPER First the Holy Spirit exposes areas that we take pride in. Because it is "a new and living way" our needs are exposed as we follow God in the reality of life. God does not expose our needs in theory, but in relationship with others. When our needs are exposed, how do we respond? Do we justify ourselves? PROPHETIC Function: Someone described prophets in this way. "They comfort the afflicted, and afflict the comfortable." God does send folk with a prophetic edge to show how He sees the situation. WHERE THERE is PRIDE, DECEPTION is CLOSE BY "The pride of your heart deceived you." Obadiah 3. One of the main reasons God sends folk is because it takes HUMILITY to receive those that come: "in the name of the Lord." We easily receive those that come in their own reputation and name and are BIG in that sense. The Lord makes it clear that we will NOT see Him until we say: This was true for all who received Jesus. WHY is UNITY IN CHRIST so IMPORTANT, FOLKS? Did you say: Right on!... pray and do all that it takes to become united in reality with the saints in your area. (Matthew 16:19) Kingdom keys, authority keys - what do we need to open up and what do we need to close? Corporately we need to take hold of these keys and operate them. What are the things we need to unlock? Different ministries, prophetic gifts, Holy Spirit life, fruitfulness. People's lives can be released by taking authority over demonic things that hold people captive. Prayer power is so important. We must come against the strongholds of Satan together, using gifts of faith. The Spirit released among us in kingdom authority can bind and loose in the name of Jesus. This sets people free and shows that Jesus is alive today and working through His church. Jesus is touching people in cities and towns through the country - through His people shining light in the darkness. We are a breakthrough people.

The apostle says that he "glories in his weakness, in insults, in persecutions, in hardships," etc.
Do we find fault and accuse those used to expose our needs?
Do we repent?
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
It is also true for all who receive those whom God sends.
Because it deals with the pride of our own little independent church group.
But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters."_ (Matthew 12:28-30)

As you flow with Me in My Spirit and bring forth My glory in greater measure on the earth, our unity will increase, and so will your joy – “joy unspeakable and full of glory.’
Determine in your heart to follow after Me and My ways, and put your own aside.
Take My yoke upon you and you will find peace and joy in Me.

Warriors, Awaken!

The Body of Christ stands poised at the verge of the greatest move of God in the history of humankind. Each of us should expect swift and radical change. We do not have time for another trip around the mountain. We must enter into the promises of God today.
Recently, God spoke this very encouraging statement to me: “...this will be the season that My people begin to believe what they know. My Word will move from the head, to the heart, to the hands.’
As we begin to believe and then act on what we know to be true, His Word, we will begin to awaken to God—to awaken as warriors who contend for intimacy with God, purity and faith, and who overcome the enemy.
No matter how confused and confounded we have been in the past, this is the day we can end the wilderness wanderings and awaken:
“Therefore we make it our aim...to be well pleasing to Him.’ 2 Corinthians 5:9
Awaken…to Boldness for the End Time
Listen with your whole heart: this is the time for warriors to arise. The Spirit of God is calling forth the dread champions. Now is the time to shake yourself, stand-up and believe that the proclamation found in Micah 3:8 is true for you personally:
“Truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD...’
Heaven is speaking these words to you personally: Don´t Lose Heart! Be Encouraged! Victory Is Yours! Advance! The cry of “No hesitation!’ has gone forth from heaven.
What is our response to be? We are commanded to be confident, brave, strong and very courageous (Joshua 1:7). We are to arise, believe the Word, act on the promises of God and walk in dominion power daily. Why? The Holy Spirit who lives within each one of us is much, much greater than the evil spirits at work in the world (1 John 4:4).
Boldness and courage are not optional. Throughout Scripture we are reminded that we mustbe bold brave and very courageous (Joshua 1:7-9). In Deuteronomy 20:1, we are encouraged not to let what we see cause us to fear. Our confidence is in God and His abiding presencewith us (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We are in the end-time harvest when the seeds of both good and evil are coming to full fruition. It is time for every believer to experience a true demonstration of the power of God´s Spirit day by day. The end-time Church will be a people of God´s undeniable power (1 Corinthians 2:1–5).
This is not a time to be weak and wavering, but to be extremely bold and brave—to awaken to Christ in us, the hope of glory—because the end is nearer than we imagine.
Awaken…to Pursue Purity
In many places on the earth, God´s people are stirred to pursue true purity, with a longing to not allow anything in their lives hinder their walk with Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 7:1 is a very important verse for this period of time:
“...Beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.’
God is calling all overcomers to arise, walk with clean hands and a pure heart and draw ever closer to our Lord in this season of no compromise, in order to move in power and take the Kingdom for the King.
I am weary of seeing the plans and purposes of man. I long to see the mighty acts of God and pray that the entire Church would be hungry and desperate to see the works of the Lord. How will this happen? The Spirit of Truth is calling us to come closer than ever before, to draw near to the Lord.
The cry has come up before the God´s throne: “Oh that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down!’ (Isaiah 64:1). Ask the Holy Spirit to remove any hindrance standing in the way of your total surrender to the will and way of God.
Join your heart with the plea of Psalm 90:16–17 and pray:
“Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us...’
No one will have an excuse. The way is clear and any one of us can advance higher. The invitation is extended: “Come up here...’ (Revelation 4:1). A door is open in heaven, and when we answer the call to enter, we will be able to see Him more clearly and hear more distinctly.
This intimacy with the Lord will equip us to advance in the anointing on our lives and experience the fulfillment of our divine call as warriors.
Awaken…to Prepare for War
The subject of conflict and conformation is not popular in our day; however, we must give heed to these extremely sobering words in Joel 3:9-10:
“Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, Let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’
Without question, we long to see the fulfilling of the glorious prophetic promise revealed in Isaiah 2:1-4, when the warriors of God will fight no more because the Lord has established His reign on this earth. We are taught that in those days the warriors will forge their swords into plowshares and never again learn war.
While this future peace is rightly yearned for, the Lord´s commission for His saints now is just the opposite. Today, God is calling us to learn war His way. Proverbs 24:6 declares,
“For by wise counsel you will wage your own war. And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.’
In Matthew 11:12, Christ Jesus states that the kingdom of heaven is established by bothfaith and force:
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.’
We are to contend for the faith. This warning is addressed very specifically in the book of Jude:
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.’
This Greek word epag?nizomai, translated contend, occurs only once in the New Testament here in Jude. It is a term used by Greek historians to describe physical battles. The Lord is exhorting us to contend earnestly for the faith as if we were fighting a war.
Awaken…to Drive Out Evil
Ponder this principle: the New Testament clearly teaches that Israel´s violent history recorded in the Old Testament is “an example…written for our instruction’ (1 Corinthians 10:11). In Scripture we learn God sets the pattern “the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then thespiritual’ (1 Corinthians 15:46).
Scripture also reveals that Israel was instructed by God to drive out the evil hordes. Just as Israel violently drove the Canaanite from the physical Promised Land, we, too, are called to drive out every evil force from the spiritual Promised Land.
Don´t misunderstand: I am not writing about guns, bombs and bullets—but about true spiritual authority, the authority commissioned to those who have a holy heart, clean hands and a righteous life-style (Psalms 24:3-4). Our weapons are prayer, fasting and consecrated, holy living. We are given extremely clear instructions concerning our method of warfare, to put on the complete armor of God so that we might be able to withstand all the attacks of the devil. Meditate on Ephesians 6:12:
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.’
Paul teaches that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, in 2 Corinthians 10:1-6:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.’
Awaken…to Act on His Promises
The apostle Paul instructed us to walk purposefully toward one true goal—the upward call of God (Philippians 3:12–16). This is not a time to wander around the mountain of defeat and unbelief; we are to believe the promises of God and act on His Word, even if our feelings or circumstances contradict His Truth.
Now is the time to act on the Word, not just to think about the Scriptures. Rather than just being content to sit and hear, we must become activators of the Word (see James 1:22). Never forget that God has promised that: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper...’ (Isaiah 54:17). How do we act on this promise? When we cast all of our cares on the Lord, cease from worry and striving, and rejoice that He has already won the victory!
May we all be able to echo with Paul this triumphant testimony revealed in 2 Timothy 4:7-8:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.’
The warning is extended in a profound way in Romans 13:11-14:
“Besides this you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah).
The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light.
Let us live and conduct ourselves honorably and becomingly as in the [open light of] day, not in reveling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarreling and jealousy.
But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature]to [gratify its] desires (lusts).
I want to assure you that we are fighting from victory, not for victory. Our foe was totally defeated. Christ Jesus accomplished this for us on the Cross!
This truth is amplified again in Colossians 2:13-16:
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.’
I so appreciate the way Eugene Peterson in the Message Bible states this passage:
“Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ´s Cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.’
You can walk in full confidence and boldness, knowing that greater is He that is within you than all the forces of evil about you (1 John 4:4). Beloved friend, your struggle is not with people or circumstances, but with the kingdoms of darkness. Let this promise gird your heart Isaiah 41:10:
"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Even in the midst of pressures and problems, warfare and turmoil, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, fires, tornados and political upheavals, we can maintain abiding peace as we focus on Christ the King. Isaiah 26:3 (in the Amplified Bible) assures us:
“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You’
Warriors, awaken to the peace and joy of victory! The end-time harvest is at hand!

Why Rupert Murdoch Love$ God: World's Biggest Sleaze Mogul Also Getting Rich from Christian Moralizers
Here's what you might not know about Rupert Murdoch: he's one of the leading religion publishers in the world.
Maybe one day soon Murdoch will go to jail as might his son, as will several of their UK editors if many alleged and disgusting and illegal acts of pirate "journalism" are proved true, ranging from bribing the police to hacking the phones of bereaved family members of killed service men and women and child murder victims. Make no mistake: when it comes to the Murdoch media "empire" we're talking about the lowest form of "journalism" as detailed by the Guardian newspaper.
So are religious moralizers and others writing about religious and/or "moral" themes prepared to enrich the Murdoch "media juggernaut" forever while Rupert Murdoch further corrupts UK, American and Australian politics while his companies trade in human misery for profit by hacking murder victim's phones, paying off the police, elevating smut to a national sport and even hacking the phones of killed soldiers' families?
You bet!
Rupert Murdoch is one of America's number one publishers of evangelical and other religious books, including the 33-million seller Purpose Driven Life by mega pastor and anti-gay activist Rick Warren. Murdoch is also publisher of "progressive" Rob Bell's Love Wins.
Rick Warren, Rob Bell and company helped Murdoch fund his tabloid-topless-women-on-page-3 empire, phone hacking of murdered teens, and Fox News' spreading "birther" and "death panel" lies about the president. They helped Murdoch by enriching him. And these weren't unknown authors just lucky to get published anywhere, they could have picked anybody to sell their books.
Do the religious authors making their fortunes off Murdoch wear gloves when they cash their royalty checks? Do they ever dare look in the mirror?
The authors publishing with Murdoch serve a religious market so fine-tuned to grandstanding hypocrisy and moralizing, that, for instance, my novels about growing up religious (Portofino, Zermatt and Saving Grandma) will never be sold in the thousands of CBA member (Christian Bookseller's Association) bookstores because -- horrors! -- my books have profanity and sex in them!
But those same CBA stores gladly sell tens of millions of books -- annually -- published by Murdoch, a man with the moral rectitude of the herpes virus, a man who runs the companies that gave Glenn Beck a megaphone, that hacked a dead girl's phone, that lied about Iraq's involvement in 9/11, and thus contributed to the war-of-choice needless killing of almost 5,000 American soldiers by George W. Bush.
You see, Murdoch has bought into and now owns a huge chunk of American religion and is suckling from the profitable God-teat along with the likes of Rick Warren and Rob Bell, et al.
Murdoch bought the venerable evangelical Zondervan publishing house. I knew the founding Zondervan family, a clan of strict Bible-believing Calvinists who'd have bathed for a week in the Jordan River to purify themselves if they'd ever even brushed up against Murdoch and his minions! Later generations sold out.
Murdoch also bought the all purpose all-religion-is-great-if-it-sells-something "religion" site "Beliefnet" and "Inspirio" -- religious "gift production," specialists making tawdry religion-junk of the one-more-pair-of-praying-hands made of pressed muck kind.
And Murdoch publishes Rob Bell and other so-called progressives evangelical "stars" as well as run-of-the-mill evangelical right winger's books though Harper One, the "religious" division of Harper Collins, another Murdoch company.
Murdoch knows something I found out way back in the 1970s and 80s, when I was still my founder-of-the-religious-right Dad's sidekick and a right wing evangelical leader/shill myself: There's gold in them-thar God hills! James Dobson alone once gave away 150,000 copies of one of my evangelical screeds that sold more than a million copies. (I describe why I got out of the evangelical netherworld -- fled -- in my book Sex, mom and God.)
So here's my question to Rob Bell of the God-loves-everybody school of touchy-feely theology and/or to the right wing "family values" crowd who worry about gay marriage between responsible loving adults while they perform financial fellatio on the mightiest and most depraved/pagan media baron to ever walk the earth.
What serious, let alone decent, religiously conscious person -- left or right, conservative or liberal -- would knowingly work to enrich this dreadful man who will go down in history as the epitome of everything that all religion says it's against: lies, greed, criminality, and sheer disgusting exploitation of the defenseless that would shame a sewer rat?
Secular "un-saved" and "godless" and "liberal" authors like Jeff Jarvis have pulled books from Harper Collins because it's owned by Murdoch as he writes: "[my] next book, Public Parts, was to be published, like my last one, by News Corp.'s Harper Collins. But I pulled the book because in it, I am very critical of the parent company for being so closed. It's now being published by Simon and Schuster."
Where are the big time religion writers like the "I-give-all-my-royalties-to-the-poor" Rick Warren to be found refusing to publish with Zondervan, Harper One or write another word for Beliefnet? What's mildly lefty Rob Bell's defense for enriching Murdoch and helping to finance Fox "News" via publishing with Harper One when he could publish with anyone?
For that matter, where are the evangelical/Roman Catholic/Muslim -- or just minimally decent -- people, religious or non-religious guests and commentators now refusing to be interviewed by Fox News even if it will help sell their books?
Knowing what we know about the union-busting, slime-spreading Murdoch empire and its disgusting and criminal actions can a moral person work for, or use, the products of this all-encompassing web of profit, far right politics and corruption?
I don't think so.
But of course the religion writers have plenty of company.
What about journalists working for Murdoch's Wall Street Journal?
What about Deepak Chopra?
He publishes with Harper One. Thus Chopra is helping finance Fox News. And so is Desmond Tutu. He's also a Harper One author.
And what about all the "progressive" stars, producers and writers doing deals with the Fox movie empire? Such Hollywood moralists used to boycott working in the old apartheid South Africa, but will work for/with Murdoch today as he empowers the far religious racist right through Fox News! Desmond Tutu used to call for boycotts of far right religious nuts in South Africa oppressing blacks in the name of God, and now he's a Murdoch contributor!
Go figure!
Why should the people -- religious leaders, writers, actors, agents, producers, et al -- who help Murdoch wreck America and the UK -- remain respectable in our countries?
Okay, they deserve a second chance.
Mea Culpa!
I published two books with Harper Collins some years ago after Murdoch had taken over. I had a deal with the Smithsonian that was tied into Harper Collins for distribution, then the Smithsonian backed out but my books stayed at Harpers. After they were published I thought about -- and regretted -- helping Murdoch. I've never published with them again.
I only have one excuse, I didn't know much about Murdoch then. But who would willingly publish anything with any Murdoch paper, magazine or book publisher now, knowing what we all know?
Post UK meltdown, will Tutu, Bell, Chopra et al -- big time authors with a choice of publishers -- still publish yet more books with Harper One, and/or with Zondervan?
Will liberals in Hollywood still underwrite Murdoch with their lives and continue to work for Fox TV and Fox Films?
It's time to hold all Murdoch's collaborator's feet to the fire, especially the big and famous sell outs who can go anywhere with their books or scripts. And why would any decent paper or blog review any book, film or TV show that enriches Murdoch? He should be blacked out before he takes us all down with him.
No more excuses. We all know about Murdoch now.
From here on out it's time to out those who choose to stay in bed with the sleazy man from down under who elbowed his way into America and the UK, damaged our political systems, perhaps fatally, all the while insulting our intelligence and aiding and abetting our war machine.
We can't boycott every dubious corporation on earth. But with Murdoch's sleaze-infested ambition to control the politics of so much of the world a reality a line's been crossed. It is time to pull an "Arab Spring" on the whole Murdoch empire and overthrow it. And we of the outraged "street" can do it at last because so many political and media leaders, who have sucked up to Murdoch for decades, are running for cover.
I know it's not considered polite to be judgmental but I'll say it: to work for any part of News Corp, Murdoch, Fox and/or any or all of his companies, let alone to publish books with him makes you an accomplice to a very bad person.
