Saint George
Saint George was the patron Saint of England. When Diocletian's order for the
destruction of Christian churches was attached to the palace gate in Nicomedia, a high
ranking officer tore it down, and was immediately executed. The martyred officer became
Saint George. If he ever fought a dragon, it must have been imperial Caesar.
